Hey everyone, been awhile since I posted on here, but I just moved from Phx to Sahuarita, and I’m looking to do some bow hunting for mule deer. I want to stay relatively close to home, but I know there’s a lot of mule deer in the area. Planning on focusing on 34a mostly. Anyways just figured I’d post and see if anyone in the area is looking for a hunting buddy, or would be interested in coming along. I’m brand new to the area so it will take me some time to figure it out, but it’s usually more fun hunting with someone. I’ll even come help glass , just want to get out into the country. Going to try to go out mid week next week. If your interested let me know.

San Pedro valley recommendations for quail
Jfos replied to ElConejo's topic in Small Game, Upland Bird, and Waterfowl Hunting
If you’re willing to drive about 1.5 hours, there is great quail hunting in the Safford/ Gila valley area. More than happy to share a couple spots with you. -
I’m sure 30A can be tough especially with all the private land. But there are good deer in there. Took this out there in 2020 What ranch are you on and where?

That’s in 44A isn’t it?

What are you looking for in a trade?

Awesome!! Planning on going with a guide?

My buddy got his card hit early this AM.

Any idea or guess on when results will come out?

Nice! Well it seems to be working pretty good! Congrats again!

Incredible job glassing up all those bucks. That is definitely not easy to come up with all those bucks especially of that quality. What’s your go to glass ?

Which range?

Man that’s probably true, but I’ve seen some studs in unit 8 before. Idk about 200” but high 100’s for sure

What a beauty! Hopefully those genes are still running around in the woods. Would love to see some of his offspring. How old was he? 5, 6?

What did he wind up measuring out at?

Oh okay , I thought it was for Elk.

Maybe capitalize on that. And save those 5 points for a a better hunt. It’s atleast an option. I’ve never hunted 17b so I really don’t know the ins and outs of it. But 5 points can get you a late rifle hunt on a decent unit.

3 points wasn’t enough for a 3a/3c cow tag. Really surprised I didn’t draw. However, my Brother in law drew a tag so we’ll still be elk hunting!

Great meeting you this year, and I appreciate the help. I was able to tag out on my last day of hunting on the late whitetail hunt. Beautiful area.

Great opening day of Javelina season. 3 of 5 tags filled so far. Buddy spotted them close to 3/4 of a mile away and we hiked in through some absolutely brutal country. Couple friends got their first pig, which made the day even better. God is good!
