Phones and tracking......we have followed this story since it happened. While the guy has not been convicted because they haven't found a body, phone tracking has played huge in this case. https://www.cbsnews.com/video/the-suzanne-morphew-case-nothing-is-what-it-seems/ The link is a 48 hours report, interesting story if you have the time, technology is amazing for good and bad! Authorities hint they know location of Suzanne Morphew's body: "She is in a very difficult spot," says prosecutor This past week, a prosecutor working on the case of Suzanne Morphew, a missing mother of two, said in open court that investigators suspect they know the location of her body. "She is in a very difficult spot," said Deputy District Attorney Mark Hurlbert. "We actually have more than just a feeling … and the sheriff's office is continuing to look for Mrs. Morphew's body." It was a major update in the Morphew case which began on Mother's Day 2020, when she disappeared from her Colorado home. Hurlbert said there was no timetable for bringing a murder case to trial. "That could be a long time. It could be quick, it could be long. It depends on a lot of our investigation," he said. When Suzanne first went missing, investigators compiled and followed several bizarre clues—a chipmunk alibi, a tranquilizer gun, and a spy pen—but lacked direct evidence. Suzanne MorphewSUZANNE MORPHEW/FACEBOOK Investigators noticed Barry's cell phone appeared to be pinging all around his house on Mother's Day weekend 2020, which he maintains was because he was chasing and shooting at chipmunks. Investigators also found a plastic cap for a syringe that they believe was used to load a tranquilizer dart in the couple's dryer. Barry, investigators say, told them he didn't know how the cap got there, but admitted he was an experienced tranquilizer dart gun shooter. The cap, however, did not contain any of Barry's DNA. 48 HOURS

The outdoors has never been more intruded here in Az as it currently is........and very few of the population actually take the time to take care of anything amiss out there. Kudos to any of you that have taken the time to make things better than the way they were when you arrived. I have blamed the ban on my fewer trips to the forest but honestly the price of gas has caused me more conflict than the ban.......I have also lost more cameras since the ban than all the years previous combined. Is the ban the cause of this coincidence? No idea. Our last trip to Alpine, that little stretch of 191 between Nutrioso and the summit I saw 6 rigs parked on the side of the road glassing that long burn ridge on the backside of Noble Mt........ "pre scouting" I suppose. I'd like to blame the ban on all of that additional traffic too but honestly what bugs me more than people scouting on the highway is sxs 10 in a group seeing how fast they can go around the corner or how loud they can play their music................... Bottom line.......there is just too dam many people out in the woods these days.......and I am thankful to still be able to get out there and be one of them.........

I know you get tired of this but I never do! Good luck to tag holders!

I was helping my brother in law work on a cabin in Lake City, Colorado this weekend! He was doing most of the work I was just a gopher! Found this treasure under the cabin! I’m not a drinker so not sure what year this would be dated?

One thing we make fun of is the weather apps.......course I just have the free one as does my wife, but on any given day her phone app and my phone app regarding weather can be vastly different. We got a good slow drizzle yesterday as the sun went down......

Funny story.....my wife used to take her 5th grade class fishing with G$F up there. One of the kids caught a pike and the officer said there is no way because FH didn't have any pike in it.....my wife said, "well take a look here, looks like all the pike I've ever seen"........

Must have not made an impression on me at the time cause I don't recall it being horrible, I haven't been back there since....1987

Funny story, back in the late 80's when I was kicking around Flag we wanted to take our two year old fishing with his mickey mouse fishing pole. Had never been to Kinnikinick so after work we got there after dark, pitched tent and woke up like 10 yards from the lake......I mustve been tired that night. Anyway, my little guy we put him on with a worm and bobber and he landed a beautiful rainbow trout......I told him he was stuck in the weeds but nope........great times!!!

Best days ever missing school for a hunt!!!

Anybody versed in Colorado hunting rules and regs? If I got cited for law infractions in Colorado......those don't carry over to AZ do they? Like I know they have a 20 point "limit" for lack of better terms, if I hit 20 points I get my hunting license revoked for 5 years. But that doesn't have anything to do with AZ right? I know poaching is another thing where other states have banded together in support of each other. Does AZ have a point system like this?

One of my favorite hunts even though I am horrible at turkey hunting.............congratulations and great big smile on that boy!!!!

Agreed on things not adding up! Sheds were picked up and then put back down on the ground, gps coordinates logged and more hiking Guilty as charged for shed hunting no fee for antlers collected because none were collected! While hiking, crossed into private land, no posted signs and no fence! Charged with unlawful trespassing! Harassment of wildlife because hiking occurred in the hills where antlers were laying on the ground specifically mule deer antlers! Charged! I didn’t ever say nothing wrong occurred and there is nothing cryptic about the charges but honestly for my simple mind some things don’t add up! If you were out in the same exact hills “hunting coyotes “ and never touched an antler you could have logged gps waypoints and maybe you are legal? I am okay with the idea that maybe there is a property line un marked, research should have been done! Harassment of wildlife? Hiking in the hills 500 yards from the 50 hwy where deer pile up on the roadside daily? No wildlife was being chased or harassed anymore than CPW out there planting trap antlers! It is done, good lesson learned, fees have been paid and lashes to points distributed! -
