I didn’t have any problem getting on elk. But the fact still remains that it was the Slowest and quietest rutting action that I’ve ever seen in my area.

It certainly wasn’t “on fire” where I was. it’s the quietest and slowest rutting action I’ve ever seen. And I’ve never seen it slow. I’ve heard of slow ruts, but I’ve never seen one where I hunt. Till this year all that said I could chargecollector777’d. The biggest bull I’ve ever seen last night in my headlights.

I saw a bull get wounded last night and then saw another dude wound another this morning. Both were decent shots, one dude hit the shoulder looked like the other was back

My thoughts, it’s an elk they’re tough.

On a rut hunt, and we’re talking about shooting raghorns because of the color of the cape.

Who care what color they are, it’s all about the rack size.
