that's all we'll and good but op is talking about catchin man sized tunas off a party boat i have a penn fathom 40n 2 speed and a 6'6 extra heavy shimano terez 2/3 full of 80lb braid. A penn fathom 25n 2speed with 7'h shimano tallus 2/3 full 65lb braid. Penn slammer 3 6500 with penn rampage jigging rod full of 50lb braid. I need a 30 class star drag.

Those don't match up that great vs a 100lb bluefin now that my divorce is finalized. nice. depending on your price range i would look at penn fathom reels for the price. I agree but the big fish on our trips was 22 lbs. That would be intense on bass tackle
