you guys seriously don't practice at 100 yards? I can never leave usery without shooting a couple rounds at the 100

100 yard bow shot, too far. same dude shoots 28" group at 1000 yards and says theyre good.

I lick my thumb, stick in the air for the windage, if the animal is smaller than my thumbnail he is 60 yards at least so I compensate from there and then throw my spear

why is it a "far greater accomplishment?" sometimes you can sneak in to 40 sometimes you gotta shoot them at 80. its not enough to kill a trophy buck now, so next you have to do it with a sling shot for it to count as a great accomplishment to some people. sheesh. defeat the odds of what could go wrong? a lot more things could go wrong inside 50 then at 100.
