Got 3 quail today. Had them and some coues deer. Coues deer is a year old and still tastes like the best prime rib. Every time I taste coues I think it’s actually worth killing those cute little things.

I hate that. Glass the ridge, get down to the bottom where it’s thick and gotta work hard with binoculars and the FOV is narrow. i jump back to the top, miss everything.

if nothing breaks and nobody gets hurt, thats a good hunt. if you have a goal to kill a huge bull and you hunt the whole time and dont kill youre more successful than someone that shoots a rag with a trophy tag. jmho

One of my new guilty pleasures is going to the Facebook hunting groups, finding a post about someone finding a dead animal then reading the comment from some derelict telling everyone about shot selection and how they never wounded anything in their day
