Cabelas Alaknak Tent 12x20 w/ Stove and Floor Liner
willhunt4coues replied to T.Murphy4's topic in Classified Ads
So I contacted this guy on the tent and asked if it was still for sale he Said yes. I needed to get money so I put my ar up for sale and sold it. Then I contacted him and said I have the money and needed to see if they could meet me next Saturday Aug 3 at sportsmans and he said he would have to talk with his dad. I asked for pictures and phone numbers and nothing happened. After no replies for 4 days he finally contacted me pm and said his dad no longer wanted to sell the tent because he got drawn for deer. My question is why even post the thing up? Don't put something up for sale you don't want to sell. Now I sold my ar to get this and I am screwed. Just wanted to warn you all that if Murphy has something for sale he may not know what he is doing. -

I have a DPMS 20 inch bull barrel upper, Plum Crazy lower, with LaRue Tactical base and Leopold mark 4 1-5x20 illuminated custom turret (.556/62 grain). The Camo is Predator Camo Dura Coat. Only about 300 rounds through whole gun. Cleaned after every target or hunt. The whole gun would run 2300.00+ and am willing to part for 1400.00 obo. I am also willing to sell just the base and scope for 700.00 (worth over 1200.00). No trades please (unless it is the Alaknak tent that is for sale on here). Please pm me or call at 928-200-0166

Sold pending funds

Yes hydro graphics are the best on perfection but most of those guys still use duracoat clear to help protect the film.

I did the dura coat myself. Cost me about 400.00 for all the tools and equipment.

Is this still for sale -
Great job. One thing to note is that the local unit warden can check in the bear for you without having to run it down to mesa.

I bought a pair of 15x56 off a guy on here back in 2009. He called Swaro and asked if warranty could be transfered to me they said yes. he even gave them my name and all. I called swaro when I bought them gave them my name serial number and all the info they wanted. Well last year in October the whole left side went out of focus so I called swaro and told them I needed warranty work done. She asked for my name I gave it to her and no record of me in system. So she asked for serial number and guess what NO RECORD. I told her this can not be I called did everything I was suppose to and still no record. Well anyways I fought with her and won they repaired them and I had them in hand 1 month later (1 week before my deer hunt). Make sure if you do ever buy any used you double check to make sure they have your info on file. Just a heads up!!!

I go gutless on Coues. Cut from the back of the skull all the way down to the tail then start to peal the hyde down the side using the hyde as a barrier between meat and dirt. I put all my meat in cheese cloth, throw the hyde and head in my partners pack and I take all the meat. Like others have said this takes A LOT LESS time than any other method. My wife shot her buck 2 years ago next to a road and we actually drove up to it and still boned it out. you do not have to worry about waste (throwing away the bones), cleanup, flys. Just throw the meat in your pack and when you get back to the vehicle throw it in the ice chest head home wash and clean meat then wrap in freezer paper. It actually take me longer to gut a deer then boning him out...LOL

I have a tag in 24A for May 3 start and we have been out every weekend and every weekend I am finding them. Gobblers 3 of them weekend of 13th by themselves, on the 20th I found 3 about a mile away from other siting and had my call going and was able to call the Hen into 5 feet as she feed around me but the gobblers would not come out from the thicket pines. They would answer just not come in. Hopefully by the 3rd they will be coming in here in 24a.

My boy Zack (almost 7) has took his first harvest of many. He usually is ready to head home only after being out for around 3 hours but now he does not want to go home and now is wanting to tag along next weekend when dad and I head out for spring bear. The rifle is a 6.8 Remington 700 PERFECT rifle for youths with a bit of knockdown (and us older guys can use it to knockdown some yotes). I took him to the range MANY MANY times and after watching him shoot this rifle at 100 200 300 yards (as long as I dial for him) and hit perfect shots consistently I know it will a short time before he gets his first yote. I know one thing the rifle is too big (heavy) and with the help of the Triclawps system he can now get out hunting more often. I am soo proud of my boy.
