Just in time for Dove season, this is a timeless beauty, that would love to watch the sunrise with you come September 1st. As an extra inducement, I am including a case of 12 gauge 6 shot 1 and 1/4 ounce loads, not an ideal shell for doves, but with quail season just around the corner, they will be perfect for that. With a full price offer of $400, the shells come with the gun, they go for $65 a case before tax at Sportsmans Warehouse. PM if interested, Take Care, JLG. http://www.azsj.org/gallery/showimage.php?i=3593&c=18

I was thinking if you have a trailer, and a generator you could probably pickup a chest freezer off Craigslist for $100. You could have a working freezer in camp, Take Care, JLG.

Things your huntin buddies do that drive you nuts : )
JLG replied to twigsnapper's topic in The Campfire
I really like my hunting buddies, we just do whatever it takes to get the job done. The more misadventure the better the story when it's over. I like hunting with guys that know that misadventure and hardwork come with the territory. The guys that don't get that, don't hunt with us very long. We just roll with whatever happens and enjoy it as we go, Take Care, JLG. -
I started my Medifast program at 235 on July 2nd, this morning (Aug 10th) I was at 206. Hopefully, I hit my 180 number by September 28th. You do slow down, last time I did it, I dropped 46 pounds over 3 months, it was the best fall I had in years. We killed 6 bulls in the late season over two hunts in an 11 day span and hiking out the meat was involved in all of them. It was tough, but I was ready for it than. Good Luck all, JLG.

Marshall, it runs about $330 a month. This time around, I caught a break, had a friend that tried it, didn't like it and my first month came from him. I ordered one month on my own and will order another one. That should get me to my weight loss goal, after that its a matter of discipline, healthy eating and excercise to keep at the 180 number I want. I will be 51 this year and I have never suffered any serious injuries. I love my hunting and I love the way I hunt, so to keep doing it, I have to be in good physical condition, that will take work on my part and the realization that if I want to continue doing this, I need to work at it for the rest of my days. I loved how I felt and how my 2010 season went, my body held up well. Take Care, JLG.

Why Hunting your own dinner is an ethical way to eat
JLG replied to CouesWhitetail's topic in The Campfire
All true, I love to eat game or fish I have taken on previous hunts, on current hunts. It is a spiritual reconnect for me. It has also become a tradition over the last couple of years. Once my Medifast diet is over, my plan to sustain myself involves, fruits, vegs, venison and fish. I like the way I feel when I am lighter and eating properly. Take Care, JLG. -
I actually started Medifast July 2nd, at 235 pounds on a 5' 10" frame. I am at 207 right now, my end goal is to be at 180 by my friend's Sept 28th 22S MZ rut hunt. The stuff works and would be perfect for you, because exercise on this diet doesn't enter into the equation. I did this two years ago and got as low as 184 and it was awesome out there humping mountains without carrying a bag of concrete around my mid-section. Good Luck with your weight loss, JLG.

This is good news, I can HAM hunt in payson in 22 at my trailer and than pickup a rifle tag in a unit that I am putting together a large group hunt for with a tradition of leftover tags. Pretty cool idea and a great way to sell the tags that have gone wanting the last several years. I am in, JLG.
