Pretty awesome number of different suggestions, none being what the starter of this thread went with and that is called America people! God Bless the United States and God Bless our troops providing that freedom of choice and freedom of speech!By the way, the Black Gold Rush is an awesome sight excellent selection!!

I always love this CSI-23 thread! If we are going to post pics then we should also post arse whoopin pics too so all can see the results of taking someone else's property! Another option would be putting dye bags in your cameras so the culprits are stained and have to explain that to who ever sees them. So I have one question... if I lost my keys to my lock and I am walking to my camera to retrieve it, will I have my arse whooped merely because I had bolt cutters in hand? Be careful out there folks as you could lose your freedom(ability to hunt and visit your beloved mountains)for a foolish moment of anger that may be misguided yet you still will spend time in the pokey!

Back in 1997 I was sneaking along a game trail along the north facing slope (because everybody said thats where the critters are) when the typical Unit 27 nooner hit and I wasn't sure what was louder, the thunder claps or the sound of what seemed like 30 Elk dropping down off the top of Middle Mountain crashing past me. I had just slipped under a spruce bough to stay sort of dry when a pair of really nice bulls stopped just above my spruce and were foaming and panting and steaming things up! Man my heart was beating really fast and of course the camera was safe in its waterproof case where I couldn't get a picture of these two awesome bulls! One last story on same mountain. Had my older brother and a jarhead friend walking the south side this time of this same mountain with me on an old logging road and they were slightly above me walking the same direction. I was of course all scented up and camo'd out moving slow when I see this black bear sneaking down the same 2 track but right towards me. So I stopped to contemplate what to do but all the while Yogi is getting closer and closer to me! So I raised my bow and hands in the air and started doing my best imitation of Clyde from The Clint Eastwood movie Every Which Way but Loose and Yogi stops finally about 20 feet from me and raises up to check me out better! Finally he leaves and next thing I hear is the jarhead calling me on the radio asking me what the heck I am doing as I look like a dork and "might" scare the critters away! I just left that one alone and we pressed on but was an exciting moment just the same!

Are you the original owner of this scope and how old is it? Thanks, Kirk -
Mathews Switchback 28 inch draw 70lbs

Maybe a silly question but with your current set up what speeds were you getting by chance? Deciding between quiet, smooth bow and a super fast bow is reason why. Thank you... -
Unit 1, 27, 29, 35a, 36b Hunt closure
Broken Wheels replied to wardsoutfitters's topic in The Campfire
Has anybody ever asked themselves why we still have forests at all when "back in the day" when fires started by lightning or natural causes or heck for any reason we didn't have all this high tech equipment with helicopters hauling huge bags of water or chemicals sprayed from fixed wing aircraft (planes to you civilians)and thousands of men and women on the lines and bull dozers and what ever else they use now to "fight the fires"? The stuff burned, burned itself out and magically we have had hundreds of thousands of acres of forests since any of us can ever recall! It is funny to hear some of you "talk" about breaking the law (catch me if you can)and then in past threads you swear up and down you are a law abiding, honest, clean brave, reverent (don't remember all the boy scout motto)hunters and outdoorsmen? Too funny... -
I see SPF on all three so did they all sell then or is it still in limbo? One of my managers was still interested in the .50 its availableif its av

Hey folks, just wanted to pass along to you someone I met today while in the process of ordering a pair of binoculars. Steve Speck, owner of S&S Archery out of Boise Idaho was whom I spoke with on the phone and he was both courteous as well as informative on the binoculars in question. While on his website (www.sandsarchery.com)I noticed his pricing was more then fair on just about everything you could think of so give him a shout and see what you think as well. Good luck hunting this year to all....Broken Wheels

Which Zeiss are you looking at? I have the Conquest 4.5-14x50mm with the tactical turrets. It is a great scope for the money ... I think I paid only about $700 for it at the time a few years back. Has the mil-dot reticle (#43). When I bought it, Alex at EuroOptics recommended that I go with the Conquest over the Diavari, even though I had the money to do the other. He said for the difference, the Conquest was better bang for the buck. I'd buy another one if I had the opportunity to get it at the same price. Most of the time I've seen them higher though. I'd check out those FFP Viper Scopes from Vortex. They have some pretty nice features, and an FFP scope for under a grand is supposedly a pretty good price. If the glass is crisp, I'd sure think about it, but I'd want to look through the glass first and see that the FFP didn't screw me up too much. If you really think you want the Zeiss, but want to try one first, I have no problem pulling mine from my .300 Ultra and letting you give it a whirl ... just don't break it ... I know where you work ... It's nothing to me but a little time putting it back on and re-sighting ... gives me an excuse to hit the range. Either that, or you can just shoot my rifle ... it isn't a .30-378, but it isn't leaps and bounds behind it either. Sound advise as usual and Vortex is relaly making a name for themselves with their pricing being fair and their product being quality stuff! It will either be Vortex or Zeiss I am thinking at this point and thank you for the offer of your scope but not necessary! Kirk

Budget range is from free to say around $1500. I tried the NF and it would be great for doing curls and no doubt it is a great piece of glass too but just too heavy for my liking. I was really surprised how crisp Zeiss was and that funky looking Leupold scope with the notch in it sure was right there with the Zeiss though not as crisp. So there you have it, looking at 0-1500 price range and hoping for somewhere in the middle. Thanks again guys

Having a Yard Sale *** CANCELED****
Broken Wheels replied to Coues 'n' Sheep's topic in Classified Ads
How about that high dollar cattle dog, he for sale too maybe? :-) -
You can answer your own questions simply by applying for a job pretty much anywhere and see where right off the bat if oyu are a minority you get preferential treatment and are in a separate class ahead of the anglo-saxon male! It will not only never change but it will continue to get worse as well as the fact that we are getting further and further away from any affiliation with God, our Lord Jesus Christ or anything affiliated with our Saviour as it upsetsd the few and is not acceptable any longer though the many/majority should always rule! It is all written though so we should enjoy our time on this earth until we are saved "from ourselves" by the only ONE we should pray to and worship! Just saying...

Praise Allah that our fearless leader Barack Hussein Obama (alias President of the United States) made this happen because without him accoridng to him none of this would have ever happened! Excuse me while I go puke after making that statement as even when I try to "make a funny" just thinking of that muslim president makes me want to puke! Gotta go...

Okay I gotta ask, "considerable price difference" as in which one is more reasonable then the other though both are very good at what they do? Thank you guys, Broken Wheels

Not familiar with the Marlin model # so what caliber is it again?

Isn't Knight officially out of the muzzleloader industry now? What does this do for say parts should you need them? Elkaholic I commend you for trying to help out and I will make an offer of $250 so start the bidding. Hopefully I don't have to travel to the far ends of the earth (state) to make the purchase but someone surely will top my offer anyways! Best of luck, Broken Wheels

This is too funny sort of! Figured maybe we could escape from reality (real world) and all the blah blah blah crap we deal with each and every day on a hunting website but I reckon not! ALmost wished I hadn't opened this thread as it just makes you want to log off and go back to work which is a darn shame, darn shame! (yes Jeff I repeated myself) Hope all of you got drawn for something (not really as it would be too crowded but it sure sounded nice and polite)but seriously for those of you who did draw a tag best of luck to you and think of those who didn't draw and enjoy it some for them to!(which also means we need to rub it in and dog em a lil bit too!! :-)) Broken Wheels

Hey folks, sold my muzzleloader back at the end of last year during my fire sale and now I was drawn for a 22S Sep tag so looking for an inline ML of some kind! Send your ideas to kirk.thornton@imcor-az.com please and thank you! Hope you all get the tags you were hoping for and good hunting and scouting to all. Kirk

Most third world countries have zero problem eating family pets and other critters we deem unetible but heck every GI I partied with in central and south america ate probably dog, monkey meat, alley cat and whatever else on a stick outside the local bars down in the barrio. Good stuff!
