What weird stuff have you glassed or happen well glassing for game?
Broken Wheels replied to seek100plus's topic in Coues Deer Hunting in Arizona
Great stories fellas! Figured I better throw my two cents worth in and probably forgot better times but these come to mind: Had an owl swoop into my tree right before light and thought I was being attacked by Barnabus Collins! (for you young bucks that is the dude from Dark Shadows) Nobody has yet to admit to the time you were out all day waiting for that monster buck when "duty" calls and you are "manuring" when that buck finally shows and you are not in a position to do anything! Sleeping on cots with my brother and Father back in 74 in the desert around Sunflower when a weird light goes by in about 3 seconds, then we hear and then see two fighters (we presumed) take the same path of the weird light but three times as long in doing so! 9 years old, hunting alone with a 22 single shot for rabbits and ran into a pack of Javelina that I swore wanted me dead and chased me for almost a mile! Father told me later once I started running they probably didn't follow me more then 10 yards or so but you couldn't convince a 9 year old of that! Found a couple newborn Javelina in the 3 bar area jsut outside that fenced in area they were doing tests on for years, complete with i guess their imbellica cord! Found a fairly new fawn up on a ridge in 27 with my brother years ago that couldnt get up it was so new and weak! Didn't touch it for fear the mother wouldn't come back to it. Had a doe blowing and dancing on two legs a few years back down in 36C and wtching her some more then saw why! She had a mountain lion circling her and man was she ever dancing her butt off! Lion left and the deer took awhile to calm down and so did I. -
The tag for the critter I was hunting as that would mean I had to leave anyways!

Use the short mag for legal hunting purposes on two legged critters and carry a couple 30 rd mags for those ever present two legged critters and always "aim small miss small"! That AR is a very accurate weapon and if you are used to it that is the weapon to use my friend! Good luck hunting and keep the sun at your back and the wind in your face!

I recommend that your friends, EACH, send a letter to their representatives and senators!!!! Personal experiences always seem to be the ones that hit home for these disconnected folks. Unfortunately this is the best way to combat this problem though anymore it falls on deaf ears. McCain isn't even representing us (conservative Republicans) and knows all about fences as he rides his all the time! Violence never solves anything and yes I served and with pride during the drug wars of the 80's throughout Central and South America. Our hands were tied then as they are now because it is still big business and always will be. Those two legged mules packing the product are NOT the problem as the ranchers we speak with down there while hunting tell us stories of how these are family men and boys that are forced to do this or see their families being held in Mexico raped, shot and killed. Any of us in the same position would also pack that crap wherever, whenever before we would see our children, wives and grandchildren harmed. Be careful my friends and be smart as it sounds like most of you are when it comes to "bumping into" some of these characters.

Hey folks! My brother somehow got his numbers wrong on entering for rifle deer and what he thoght would be 20A in fact ended up being 19A from Oct 24th thru Nov 2nd. Would anybody have an idea generally speaking where he could go and hunt as he has never scouted or hunted this unit before. He was so confident he had his unit that he scouted it and now has no time to scout this unit. I appreciate anything anyone can do for him and he isn's asking for honey holes, juas a decent place to glass and stalk. Thanks folks, Younger, smarter brother obviously!

I just got off the phone ordering a rifle scope from Doug and he not only was polite and personable on the phone but he knows what he is doing! My scope is coming with a free pair of binoculars and the price was unbeatable locally or on line elsewhere! Great family people and great Americans! On a side bar, if any of you could direct me towards a local place that has 30mm rings (matte black -highs)for a Tikka 270WSM I would appreciate it very much. If not local then I guess on line would be alright too! Thanks folks, Broken Wheels!

Could you email pics to kirk.thornton@imcor-az.com please? Unless you have sold it of course? Thx, Kirk

Is anybody out there familiar with the Kahles scope with the multizero capability and if so my question is this: can you use it as your only scope in the TC Encore set up using multiple barrels from 204 up to 300 Win Mag in a quick detach application? Thank you, Kirk
-
Shoot! I just got the internet back up here at work and see you are not selling this 9MM after all? Too bad, was gonna pick it up from you but I understand the change of heart/mind and respect it!

Do you have any pictures and are there any extras with this sell? Thanks, Kirk

Got your PM Headache, will do Thanks, Kirk

Headache, I would love to have your problem with those bears! They sort of even up the hunting "scale" if you will and make you apprecaite more what hunting and being hunted is like! If you need any help "relocating" those bear just tell us on here where they are located and consider it done!

Hoping sombody would write and say the east side of the Galeuro mountains are getting socked with rain as almost every tank on the family ranch is dried up, got deer coming to the windmill by the ranchhouse for water. Some are saying worst dry spell in years with no gully-washers to fill the stock tanks.

CUR-WOLF IN SOUTHERN ARIZONA???????
Broken Wheels replied to azpackhorse's topic in Political Discussions related to hunting
Sounds like someone knows how the government works (or doesn't work) but maybe if Obama steps in and promises "change" it will work huh? Good luck and the first time a pack tears up a ranchers working dogs or his cattle we will all be talking about it more! Government and anything is a bad mix if'n ya ask me! -
Do you have any pictures, are you a valley resident in case we close the deal and if not how can we work it out? Thanks, Kirk
