My recent purchase. 257 Roberts m70 circa 1950 looks to be the finest wood I have ever owned . Sure hope it shoots as good as it looks.

methinks the dates involved were the leghold trap ban. the predator contests were still going strong until 2019. a friend Brian Brooks in Jo City held two or three big ones each year. the trapping ban happened when i was off hunting tuna and don't know all the details. lee

i had a gal-pal in flagstaff when we were 50 or so and her proudest achievement was that she had raised her two boys "on the lake"(Powell) by herself as a single mom. at least one of the little houseboats early on were so small no more than two people could fish from the same side or it tipped. good ol' gal, just a little nuts....3rd generation flagstaff. lee

i got-r-dun. 1950 version. just a note about roberts-if you handload try to find a long action rifle. mauser winchester, ruger. performance/accuracy of the cartridge is reduced by deep seated 115, 117 and 120gr projectiles necessary on short action rifles. just a thought. lee
