MX open blue fin tuna back up and boats are reporting BFT up to and exceeding 100 lbs.

anyone want to go over Labor Day weekend? there is a 1 day trip on Friday Aug 29th on the Grande out of Point Loma.

Monopoly money. Billed charges from a hospital = bogus charges. The insurance is probably contracted to pay about 30% or 11K. The hospital writes off the difference between the 37 and the 11 for tax purposes. You will be responsible for 30% of the 11 or about 3K. be glad you had insurance. who knows how much of the 37 the hospital would have gone after you for.

are you willing to wait another year if you are not drawn in the 20% bogus point pass? if so, as many have stated you probably could not go wrong with 9 or 23. It depends on applications but you might get unit 1 next year with 18 points. If not, the year after next in unit 1 is a muzzleloader hunt and with 19 points you probably would want to put in for 9 or 23 instead of unit 1 muzzleloader.

Get all of your Christmas honey-dos done early. That will go a long way towards getting out the weekend before Christmas. Good luck.

this was discussed on here several years ago and someone else mentioned that it was their opinion (and they provided some literary proof to back their opinion up) that it should be like "house" only with a C instead of an H. so instead of a "w" sound it should be an "s" sound. sorry, just another wrench.

what were the two tags that were purchased? I thought there were only 2 special tags. One was an auction tag and the other was a raffle tag? also, just curious how much was contributed to our states wildlife for these two tags. someone mentioned $500K for both. is that accurate? thanks!

make sure you wait until the week before the hunt to transfer it just in case something happens to your kid (broken bone, etc) because once it is transferred it can not be reversed.

planes, helicopters, parachute planes, ultra lights, drones. spot lights, night vision, thermal imaging. they have all been used and are still being used. probably comes down to how much money you have and how much money you are willing to spend.

take the week off before your hunt to scout so you are all set to go on opening day.

I just got hit this evening.

unfortunately there are still a lot of deer in 33 and there is relatively good access to hunting areas and hunt success rates are high. the dept looks at many things in setting tag numbers and unfortunately one of them is success rates. the success rates in 33 for almost all the hunts are above their desired number. one way to reduce hunter success rate is to increase tags. I am over simplifying it but this is one of the things that contributes to the amount of tags allocated in this unit.

I was very pleased with the Yokohamas I had on my previous truck. Very quiet ride on paved road for an all terrain tred.

if the 10% max for non residents has been met when your number comes up (even if there is still tags available) than none of the applicants will be issued tags. I do not think it will be an issue for the hunt you put in for though. I think there were leftovers for that hunt last year. Kind of interesting that someone would use 6 pts on that hunt. You must have a nice buck tied up to a tree somewhere. Good luck!

sorry just sold the shell off from my 01 dodge a month or so ago. got lucky (for me) because the guy that wanted the truck did not want the shell and another guy wanted the shell. I was not advertising the shell for sale but I think the guy had a search saved on craigslist looking for a shell. good luck. I would start calling all the camper shell dealers in AZ because they all have used ones. maybe you will get lucky.

here was our other big catch of the weekend. LEMON SHARK. shortly after Scoutm started chumming we got hooked up. yes the gaff is in the shark and yes the shark is in the water. no that was not the plan. it all worked out in the end (minus the water spot on the camera lens). this shark was about 5 1/2 feet long and weighed over 100 lbs. excellent eating. firm but not tough, mild, white meat.
