Bowhunt AZ, thanks I plan on ordering one next week through muzzleloader.com with the leupold ultimateslam sabr.. let me know how it shoots. Did you buy a different breech plug? The guys at muzzleloader told me if you shoot bh209 buy the plug for loose powder vrs the breech plug it comes with. Let me know how it shoots.

yote buster, How do you like the Remington ultimate muzzle loader? Are you getting consistent groups past 200 yards? and what about 300? I am looking to buy one but I am skeptical about their accuracy and their priming system. Can you order more casings from Remington? If your getting great groups past 200 what load and bullets are you using. I have been eyeballing this muzzy for some time, but have not heard any solid reviews from guys that own one. Thanks

No I got drawn for the desert hunt in units surrounding south and west of phx. 39/42/41/40a&b. I spent lots of time in each unit for the last 15 years or so. Now it's just picking where to spend most of my time. Only pre season scouting will tell. I'll be in unit 7 as I drew 7w archery bull. I'll keep an eye out for some deer for ya. Lol.

Well what do you think guys. Is that 5x4 in the first photo the same buck as that 4x4 in the last photo. As you can see the last photo of the 4x4 was taken on sept 13 and then 11 days later the 5x4 Shows up. Looks to be the same buck? Maybe he grew a fifth point in 11 days ?

I couldn't tell if he was the same buck or not either. I have some others I'll post later even a real nice 4x4. I'm excited i got drawn for that December muzzleloader now it's just picking the best unit to hunt in since I have 5 to choice from.

Curious what you think this guy will score. These are from last September. Have not pulled my cards yet to see if he is back.

I finally drew December muzzy hunt here in the desert. Lots of country to scout 5 units available to hunt in. About time. I always wanted to try this hunt.

How does everyone know what unit they drew? I too got a hit and would love to say it's my first or second choice which is a rut dec hunt and strip as one and two but more likely my 3rd through 5th choice is what I got. Unless you guys are only putting in for two hunt choices on your app. I don't put in for units w 100% draw on 3 through 5 and have been picked up for a tag on my 5th choice and the permit # was the last tag. Just curious.

Our government is a product of our society. A fast food style of life. Everyone wants it now without working hard for it. Everyone has an entitlement and wants hand outs. What's in it for me attitude. The sad thing is the few minority voices are taking over the majority. One because of the media agenda and two because the quiet majority is too busy working their tails off to make ends meet and to take care of their family we don't have time to protest days on end. It's like a line of gun powder slowly burning till it explodes. That's what is going to happen soon with the quiet majority. We're going to explode and want changes but it may be too late. Vote. Get involved. Get informed and educate the young. Keep God in your hearts.

I only purchased a bp this year. Trying to save up points for late rifle rut hunt. I did hunt last year and had a blast. So many deer there. Our hunting party went three for three. I shot a decent buck. All shot on public land

4a north is good. Hunt just north of the southern boundary. Plenty of cows & bulls running around ohaco ranch.

You get to hunt the entire unit. Due to land access deals the game and fish set aside a certain number of permits for Hopi tribal members only to apply. If they do. Any permits they didn't apply for then the left overs are up to grab for us non tribal members. You can hunt the entire unit as you would in the general hunts. Unless it's of course 4a north which is the areas outside of the national forest boundaries. Or specified restrictions with any boundaries. Hope this helps.
