Yep in 39 and 41 rut is still strong. Glassed up 5 bucks today all chasing does and pushing out little ones. Some were mounting does.

Well my daughter shot this broken 5x5 bull in 21 the 2 nd day of the hunt. Thank goodness for all my friends help as the pack out took over 4 hours. Sorry for the sideways photo I don't know why I phones do that.

She shot him @ 345 yds. Shooting my tika 270wsm 150 gr ballistic silvertip. Thanks for flipping photo. Yeah there is no such thing as road hunting in this unit. And after we got him to the rangers it took another hour and half on rangers to get back to camp. This is her last hunt for awhile. She starts nursing program at Grand Canyon university this summer and I think after the pack out she is ok with not hunting for a bit.

Entire unit is great for late archery. I've gone to the south end last year near table Mesa and chased some good ones. Been on east side near 7 springs and chased some nice ones and all the way to the north end near squaw peak/cherry rd and seen plenty. Can't go wrong anywhere there. Pick a high point and glass. Good luck. I won't be able to chase any till January. Got it done in sept w bow.

I will be helping my daughter in 21 only 25 tags should be fun and a rough pack out if successful.

Does it have a center post and if so what length.

Already got it done in 21. We got 2 mule deer during archery and a nice 95 in coues last week during jr hunt. We have plenty more tags to go for wt hunt and mule deer hunt. Good luck to all.

Here is my archery kill. I know should of posted these under mule deer. Both were killed a week apart in same unit and area. I got mine last day. Sorry my phone flips photos wrong way for some reason

No, I tagged out archery deer this year, Last day of hunt Sept. 11. I am helping three co workers who have tags. There is about 5 to 6 bucks hitting this tank every night, and now starting to hit it at 630 am and 7am, must be the cooler weather.

well no tag for me or my wife, however my 19 year old daughter drew the unit 21 rifle bull, cant wait been waiting some time for someone in my family to get this tag, should be a great time and to only compete with 25 other hunters, a beautiful thing. No pressure or 400 other hunters to compete with.

NOTHING for me I now have 18pts for antelope and 5pts for elk. I want to hunt antelope, never had and with this many points archery is out of question. Maybe next year.

Guys, I'm cleaning out the garage and don't need this stuff, please take it off my hands. Several elk sheds, a few mule deer, antelope, coues shed too. Also a black creek alaskan backpack, used, but still works, and an old 1970's pack frame, and an old 1950's trap. I can meet at cabelas this weekend. Call me if you want it all. id do it then, just so i can call the cops on them for disturbing my hunt. too bad law would side with the anti's and boot you out even for being legal Not so true, the law in the Mcdowell Mtn. Park are hunters too, and will side with us.
