I tell you what the bodies on these elk in here seem to be bigger. Maybe that was just me or maybe it was because of the miles of packing it out. Here is a pic of my daughters bull

Fun and rough hunt. Bulls can be broken this time of year. Hopefully you'll find one not broke. My daughter shot a big 5x? The other side was broke in half. We had the hardest pack out ever but it ended up being a great time.

Guys there is still hope you may be drawn. My friend got called from game and fish and told him he drew an elk tag and they needed his cc info to run it manually. . They also told him the system is all messed up and that they are in the process of manually running thousands of individuals credit cards that have also been drawn. Good luck

I totally agree. Been waiting for 18 years for a lope tag and have been putting in for units that are not the trophy units. Maybe after you draw an antelope tag you need to wait 5 years. ? Just a thought.

What a piece of garbage this guy is. I hope he looses all his hunting and guiding privileges for life time. Obviously the 5 year band he was slapped with in 2003 didn't work. Maybe this time jail.

Tons of deer on verrado golf courses. That's where they went. Just take an evening drive and you see lots of does and bucks.

Yep in 39 and 41 rut is still strong. Glassed up 5 bucks today all chasing does and pushing out little ones. Some were mounting does.

Well my daughter shot this broken 5x5 bull in 21 the 2 nd day of the hunt. Thank goodness for all my friends help as the pack out took over 4 hours. Sorry for the sideways photo I don't know why I phones do that.

She shot him @ 345 yds. Shooting my tika 270wsm 150 gr ballistic silvertip. Thanks for flipping photo. Yeah there is no such thing as road hunting in this unit. And after we got him to the rangers it took another hour and half on rangers to get back to camp. This is her last hunt for awhile. She starts nursing program at Grand Canyon university this summer and I think after the pack out she is ok with not hunting for a bit.

Entire unit is great for late archery. I've gone to the south end last year near table Mesa and chased some good ones. Been on east side near 7 springs and chased some nice ones and all the way to the north end near squaw peak/cherry rd and seen plenty. Can't go wrong anywhere there. Pick a high point and glass. I will be helping my daughter in 21 only 25 tags should be fun and a rough pack out if successful.

Does it have a center post and if so what length.

Already got it done in 21. We got 2 mule deer during archery and a nice 95 in coues last week during jr hunt. We have plenty more tags to go for wt hunt and mule deer hunt. Good luck to all.
