I'm not much help but I bought the 1600. I like that it has the red readout unlike the 1400 which is black and one of the biggest compaints about it.

Storms coming this weekend. Never fails! Hopefully some whitewings will still be around our spot. And Tony, my wife is in HR and would correct you to say: PLEASE REMEMBER TO PURCHASE A MIGRATORY BIRD STAMP. ha ha! 😐 -
Saw my first White Wing today
DUG replied to PRDATR's topic in Small Game, Upland Bird, and Waterfowl Hunting
I saw white wings at the house at the beginning of March this year. They must of known a hot summer was coming. -
Bow shooting distance is same as gun shooting distance now. 1/4 mile from occupied structure, house barn etc. Unless you have permission. I wouldn't hesitate using a bow if protecting animals or property.

Bring a frying pan? Oh wait no campfires right now. NM

If for whatever reason the ammo doesn't sell with the gun keep me in my mind. I'm always looking for 28's.

Cabelas had a bunch of 410 and 28 gauge TriStars?? semi auto for under 500$. Very light and not much recoil. Just start him off loading one shell. My girls started with a Browning Gold Hunter 20 and 1 shell limit. They worked up to a 2nd shell and then a 3rd. Stay away from single shot break open. At 8 there will be too much kick even from a 20 gauge.

I remember getting those shells at the Super-X Drug store on Rural and Broadway in Tempe. The Yellow Front was on the south side of Broadway. They went belly up around 1990.

Good luck man! I'm kind of jelly.......🤤

This is an older model Bushnell. I just upgraded to a Sig Kilo. Free to a kid. It doesn't range consistent at bow distances but does ok out to 400 yards. I'm in Glendale. PM if interested

Had a bear within 20 yards of the FJ in New Mexico while elk hunting one year. Paid no attention to us. He must of known he was safe. Turkeys too. Could of bow shot a turkey but the season opened like a week after elk started.🤔😖

Nice! Congrats!

If I was still in that 17 to 30 year old age group I would be out there for sure. Hope to see some bear pics.

I've called 3 times. No response.......

Not so sure the rope is needed but probably the shape could be different.😏
-
You can get something nice for 4 to 5 hundred. I'm looking for something in the 300$ range. My 16 year old Bushnell is giving me a + or- 5 yd variance. Sucks for bowhunting.

We're thinking of a 4 year stint in either KY, TN or NC. Then we'll stay if we like it, if not we'll move somewhere else. Hope your power comes back soon!
