How about a commissioners tag?!?
-
Well at the time it seemed like a good prospect. My dad and I up to then had only shot cows. If I could go back and do it again I would. But having already done it would I do it again? Probably not. We had to just look at a few 350 bulls walk by. We were looking for a hunt with solid success and lots of rutting with opportunity at a 300+ bull and that's what we got. I am not one for guided hunting though, I prefer diy hunting 100-1 however having not drawn a tag and looking into many hunts last year, it was the one that caught my eye the most and I'm glad it did it got me my first bullDon't let anyone make you feel any different about the hunt you and your dad had. Looks like a awesome time spent together +1. That's an awesome bull you got. I'd take a mature bull like that with a few things against him over a high scoring younger bull anyday. If score is that important to you you're missin the entire purpose of the trip. I enjoy hunts where there's a good rut and a high bull to cow ratio. It looks like you got exactly that and instead if getting to shoot one big bull for $12k you guys both got to shoot dang nice bulls for the same $12k between you and made a lot if memories in the process. Sounds pretty good to me!

Yeah tons of animals in there! And yeah 6k get you everything you could really need including a guide. We figured it was reasonably priced in comparison to similar hunts. I'm guessing that was a management bull hunt? I was under the impression that the trophy bull hunts were well into the teens?

???? If you saw the fletching hit behind the shoulder then the broadheads "opening in mid air" wasn't your problem. I don't see how an open mechanical is any different then s fixed head as long as you hit them in the right spot.

That sucks! I almost never see turkeys get road killed here in ND. Not sure why that is but I guess this one bucked the trend. I'm headed out this weekend to try to get it done. Lined up some new land to hunt that I have high hopes for!

Should be able to pick up some muzzy tags for the western units pretty cheap this year with the season dates being what they are.

Is that enough power for sandhill?!?

I'm pretty sure if you can make the pull up out of the valley to that point your truck is well under weight, or way overpowered!

Nice ram for most units but not 22 or 24b

My Barbary results still show the license number. The rest of mine don't so I just assumed I didn't get drawn for any others. Hopefully they come out soon!!

For every time I've seen this work I've seen it blow them out of the county 10 times. We used to have OTC archery antelope tags here in ND. I've tried every type of homemade and store bought decoy and you honestly can plan on any of them scaring them out of the township 90% of the time. The other 10% they work great. Just be ready for failure. Not the best plan if you are targeting one specific buck and that's the only one you'll settle for.

Tag #49 of 50!!! Nice! It's always nice to know you made the most of your first choice!!! I drew 19a antelope one year and got tag 40 of 40!!

Gave them a try this am. Roosted 12 long beards in one flock! Unfortunately it was public land. Showed up way early to get our spot. 5 more rigs rolled in. Had 3 gobblers at 100 yds heading in and some d!ckhead about 200 yds touched off three shots in a row. I could see where he was hunting and I know he didn't have a turkey arohnd him. I think he was just trying to mess us up. I was a little frustrated to say the least. Last year I shot a Tom in the same spot and no one was around that day.

I'm surprised no one made a "cash" offer
