There were 155 tags in that unit so as far as I know the first 20% (31 tags) went to bonus pass. That means you should've gotten it in the bonus pass. It looks like last year it took 6 to get in the bonus pass the year before it was actually 5. The one before that 6. So likely you could have pulled it in bonus pass with 5. Nice work!

Hey Cody, I'm sitting on 15 pts for deer in Colorado. I think what most guys will tell you is that if you don't have a high number of points then get out and hunt as often as you can. A monster buck can come out of any unit in any season. Now if you want an answer on a unit where you can see multiple 170+ bucks in a single hunt, I'm guessing you're gonna be waiting a long long time. As far as antelope go, save your money. My sister in law dumped 16 pts last year for one of the top tier units in Colorado. They shot a 72"er and it was by far the biggest buck they saw. Save your money and go to wyoming. Building points in CO used to be cheap but now its gotten out of hand on the non refundable stuff so don't waste your money as there are no units with 75" goats in them unless you are hunting private ground or are burning a ton of points.

I thought results were out before the posted date last year? Just curious. AZ was not good to me nor was WY so I'm getting excited for the next one!

I heard that if you try checking your results early it bumps your tag back to the next guy in line. I heard this from a credible source. Brian Williams.

I got pics in the pines in 4B multiple times. There was a big buck running around in there a few years ago.

I have a subscription to hunters trailhead and plugged in your hunt. According to last years draw odds you made the bonus pass with your 3pts but only had a 47% chance of getting drawn in the bonus pass. You still should have had a good chance in the random draw as well, but there is a decent chance you may not have gotten drawn. Hope I'm wrong but it definitely wasn't a guaranteed tag.

You realize a 25-06 and a 270 are the same thing don't you? If anything a 25-06 will kick less due to lighter bullet selection. A 25-06 with a 110 accubond would kill any elk in the world if you shoot him through the lungs at 400 yards or less.

I agree. I'd like to see a poll of people who "actually knew" when their card was hit vs what choice they drew, (bonus pass or random etc) vs when their charge hit. I hear so many "I was charged a week laters" that I know weren't actually a week later just pending charges being brought to final charges after a few days or a week. I have my card on a text notification and it is truly instant every time I charge something to it so I know down to the second of when it went through. Last year it hit a few hours after the people starting getting charges but it was probably 3-4pm when it hit. I drew a second choice random draw tag as a NR.

So you just test the fit off all of them and see what's best? I have an ultimate arms gun. It needs heavy bullets since I load 200gr of 777. I've been meaning to try blackhorn in it too.
