I would say its quite the opposite. With autoloaders you are putting tension on the recoil spring by storing with action open. My bolt guns get put away with the firing pin down, you can do this by either dry firing it first or by holding the trigger down while closing the bolt (this will let the firing pin down "slowly"). I just dry fire my pumps and autos after I close the action. There are lots of people out there who will raise red flags about dry firing, but with centerfires you can dry fire the heck out of em without hurting them. If you are really worried about it, get a spring loaded snap cap to dry fire it into, or jam some pencil eraser into the primer pocket of an empty brass and make a poor mans snap cap, better yet, just dry fire it. Disclaimer: make sure your gun is unloaded before dry firing it, so as to make sure you are not an idiot, and also to keep someone from posting about how dry firing is dangerous. Then you have a gun with all of the springs let down.

I'd use a 40 or 50 grain Vmax or ballistic tip. Hornady ammo is hard to beat, and usually priced right. If you can find HSM ammo that is usually priced well too and very good quality. ANything other then FMJ will be fine for javelina, FMJ would probably even do the trick but why risk it.

WOW!!! That'll be a nice check!

http://phoenix.backpage.com/SportsEquipForSale/wtswtt-300-win-mag-ss-fluted-bull-barrel/16463076 My favorite part is "1 1/2 inch pattern at 1000 yards"! This thing will outdo any 1000yard benchrest gun you long range guys are dumping thousands into!!! What a deal a 1/10th MOA gun for that price!!!

Online Draw: Can you change it after you've submitted?

Not if he was wanting to put a late archery hunt as as 3rd-5th choice. Very true, forgot about those! -

The first two choices are all that matter anyhow, so I wouldn't worry about it. -
I've got one in a 300 H&H, with a lyman post and crosshair 2 3/4x on it. Gonna shoot something with it oneday, just not sure what....

Records are gonna get broke out of 19B in the next few years with only 5 tags per hunt this year and none last year.... I'm near square one after drawing an archery tag in 2010, but if I had a bunch of points I'd dump 'em there in a heartbeat.

Thanks Whitey, but Azslim beat ya to it. -
I'm moving in May and I'm getting rid of a bunch of stuff that I don't want to move, but didn't want to throw away. Here's the list: 2 bags of duck decoys. Just over 3 dozen, almost all weighted keel, including 4 goose floaters, mallards, pintails, gadwalls, redheads, teal, some custom painted mergansers I did myself, and some widgeons. Bags included, retriever not included! $40 A few sheds I've picked up over the last couple years, mostly chalky whites, probably 10-15 pounds, but not sure. Must take all of 'em. FREE (a $10 donation to Amanda would be a good gesture though!) Last but not least, my pride and joy sailboat. Made many a trip around my pool in this bad boy. Bought at a yard sale planning on using it as a mountain trout lake boat, foam filled, can't sink it even if you try. Sail has a few rips, plastic is in pretty tough shape, but it floats and would be a sweet boat for trout fishing if you added a trolling motor, or just put it in your pool and make the neighbors jealous. FREE ($20 to Amanda would be helpful though!) All the stuff is in Glendale at 59th and 101, must come pick up. Thanks

'Lope is sold to Shrek, boat is given away pending pick up by Big Browns! -
I'm gonna be moving back up to the great white north in May and am planning on keeping the house I bought in north Glendale as a rental. I'm in the market for a property manager, or just a general handyman looking to earn a little extra money. Would like someone I could trust so I figured I'd start out here!!! Anyhow, It's right next to y school so it should be a piece of cake to keep rented, would be willing to pay a percentage of the rent to someone who could look after it for me, show it to renters in the future, maybe fix a broken water heater or something like that, or at least call a plumber or electrician for me (as long as it's not Desertbucks or ruthunter that was just a joke!!!) Send me a PM if you do this kinda stuff or know someone who does and isn't a douche. Thanks!

It's pretty clear... check Non resident when you apply, they will charge you for the Nonresident tag fee if you draw, and the computer algorithm kicks your name into the resident pool due to the "LH" code you put in as your license number. You aren't applying as a resident of AZ, rather a Nonresident, you just don't have to buy a license every year.
-
I am going through the same thing this year. I called and she said that you do stay in the resident tag pool even though you check non resident. I asked her how they keep you in he resident pool if you check non resident and she said that the lifetime license number you type in "LH####" puts you back in the resident pool in their algorithm. Not sure that I fully trust it, but I guess there's no way to ever know that your name is getting in there and treated as it should without trusting!
