The old NiCad batteries and today’s lithium’s are two completely different subjects. They occasionally fail and yes they’re expensive but so is everything. The amount of power in a good brand name lithium ion drill battery is insane. I mow my office lawn with a dewalt lawn mower now. Love it. No more storing gas and oil in the storage closet of the building.

Yes they still use bar oil just like a gas powered saw.

I’ve got all dewalt stuff and have the 12” 20v chainsaw. It would be a handy little truck saw. I like that I can keep a few batteries in the truck (one in my sawzall, impact and the small air compressor they make, all stay in my truck so I have plenty of battery power). I also have the 60v 16” saw. It’s got the power and speed to cut wood all day, not sure if it would hold up to it or not as I haven’t tried it. I love battery tools, I won’t own another gas saw. Actually just bought a new ice auger that uses my 1/2” dewalt drill. Can drill 100 holes a day easy on a 5 amp battery. No more mixing gas and having those little cans spill all over everything.

The story that goes along with that one is even more embarrassing. I think it’s in a magazine around here somewhere.....

I didn’t say anything about a pic. I read his story. It was bada55.

I thought IDGAF’s lion story was awesome. It was even legal.

RV tank monitor and battery level system upgrade
yotebuster replied to CatfishKev's topic in The Campfire
Putting a new sensor in an old crapper tank doesn’t sound like fun. -
I had a bull tag last year! I hunted with Ralph too. Snow was waste deep and they still weren’t even within 15 miles of the refuge. We lucked out and found a lone bull that had been in the riverbottom so I feel really fortunate to have gotten one! That used to be almost a guaranteed hunt but it’s getting real tough now. Hopefully you guys can track one down!! Keep me in the loop on how you do! Going with Ralph is a good call. Horses are a must have if there’s any decent amount of snow.

This is exactly why he needs to write down what F in caliber he’s looking for. The future of shooting is screwed 🤦♂️ -
Indont know why someone hasn’t thought of a .30 creedmoor. You could kill anything on the planet with that thing!!!
-
Awesome!! Good luck in WY!! That hunt is getting tougher and tougher. You get a refuge permit? She have a bull or a cow?

The fact that you think a 6.5 Creedmoor is the only 6.5 proves ownership of said man bun. -

Arizona Bonus points- worth it or not for the december hunts?
yotebuster replied to critrgitr's topic in Coues Deer Hunting in Arizona
Go to Mexico. Use your points for a big mule deer someday. Comparing apples to apples, big coues deer are way cheaper to hunt them big mule deer. To shoot a big muley you gotta be really really really good, or have a bunch of points or a bunch of money. You can go to Mexico for $2500-5000 every year and hunt unpressured bucks in January when they’re actually rutting. -
I’ve got one of these in .243 WSSM. They’re badass. Better performancs without the extra weight and size of an AR10
-
Looks like a badass old ram to me! Congrats!

Cranes are honestly one of the easiest waterfowl to kill. All neck and wing. I usually shoot 3” steel 2’s or 3’s here in ND. Keep your shots under 50 yards, if you’re on them you’ll crush them. 2 3/4” would work just fine too. Killed a pile of them with a 20 ga when I was a kid too, even some with a .410.

The deer has a big neck too!!

I’ve always been impressed at how high end optics hold their value. The highest cost of ownership of any optic ive ever owned was a pair of Vortex binos I bought for $450 and had to throw away because they were such garbage. I’ve got tens of thousands of dollars of other high end optics and I could sell any one of them right now and lose less then that on them. I hear people talk about how they can’t afford high end optics and I’d argue that I can’t afford to run cheap optics.

That feeling you get when your pride and joy scopes barely make the top 5 on Lances list......

Oh boy. Didn’t even know they made one in SFP. PM sent. I don’t bluff!!
-
Great deal! If this was an SFP I’d be all over it.

Awesome buck and great story!! Sounds like you learned a lot and were successful on top of it. Couldn’t ask for more!! Thanks for the write up!

If it falls through I’ll take it.
