I think a swede will out do a creedmoor by about 200fps if loaded to the same pressure. It doesn’t require a man bun to own either. Sweet gun and cool caliber.

His mom must have had 23 points?

Yeah I’m pretty sure you’re logged in or you wouldn’t be posting this. Just go to classifieds and select “new topic”

Good buy! Won’t last long!

From the looks of it the whole A-plus system has been done away with this year. Draw tags are good unit wide on public and private (if you can get permission) and private land tags are OTC a regardless of what ranch you are on. Essentially they are leaving the management of antelope on private land up to the landowners now. The tricky thing will be the public land that is land locked within the large ranches. I’m guessing their private land tags will NOT be valid on that land but it also doesn’t have access for public hunters. Similar to the way private land deer tags have been done in NM for some time.

Bump for a good deal and a cool gun. I’ve got one in a .350 and a 6.5. Ahead of their time for sure!!

I think it’s the new world record for B&C as well. I’m guessing that’s a Montana breaks ram originally

My kinda dad!! My dad got me a brand new model 70 Winchester 7mmSTW for my 12th birthday back in 1995. That was the pre rangefinder days. Hot loaded with 120gr ballistic tips I could aim right at a deer out to 450! Bump for an awesome rifle in a cool caliber!

Factory 28 nosler suggestions
yotebuster replied to MULEPACKHUNTER's topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
I’m assuming this guy is looking to only buy once? You’re barking up the right tree with the .28 Nosler, but I guess the last thing I’d ever suggest to someone is to spend less then they could on a do it all rifle. The seekins or a Christensen would be good OTC rifles that will shoot as good as he would need them to for your run of the mill long range shooting and hunting. I would have him buy once and enjoy the gun. The worst thing he could do is buy one and then trade it off later for something better. That gets expensive in a hurry. -
Sweet deal. I’d take it if I wasn’t in ND.

Transporting a Turkey on an Airplane for Taxidermy
yotebuster replied to rossislider's topic in Turkeys!
I’ve flown with frozen waterfowl a lot. Just freeze it, put it in a garbage bag, wrap in a jacket or blanket and throw it in your checked bag. A hard sided roller bag would protect it better then a soft side duffel bag. It won’t thaw for a couple days so even if your baggage gets lost for a day or so you’re good. -
It’s in AZ too. It’s everywhere. Always has been. Always will be. Funny thing about when you start looking for something, you find it.

It’s a big hoax. Don’t fall for it.

Who is crazy enough to chase goats with a smokepole
yotebuster replied to DeathFromBelow's topic in Antelope Hunting
An AZ muzzleloader is just as effective as a rifle for antelope. There isn’t an antelope out there you can’t get to 300 yards from if you have a day to mess with them. In my opinion it’s a better tag then rifle since you get first crack at the biggest bucks. -
Your odds look like to be between 3% for the top end units to 12% for 3b (the easiest one). The only exception is you’d have like a 22% in unit 12 but I dunno the story on the antelope up there. I’ve drawn 19a early twice, once with 2 points and once with 6. So it’s possible.

Got it! Good call. A 20gauge is more then capable of it, especially if they’re decoying decent. It’s been a really tough year for snows as the long late spring last year made for a tough hatch. Essentially no juvenile birds at all. If you get a little weather or something you could still get some to decoy but expect some long shooting most likely if it’s adult birds.
-
This sounds cool. I’m in ND and it’s gonna be -15 this weekend but the cold makes for clear air so I’ll point mine south and see if I can see you guys!
-
Good luck in Missouri! You’re gonna shoot your 20 Guage for spring snows?
-
Sorry you are correct!! I thought it was an old polychoke! Winchester made some from the factory that had a “winlight” choke but I think that was in the model 59. Bump for a nice gun at a good price
-
That bad boy is any choke you want it to be. At just the turn of a wrist

We are going out of Westport this summer as well!

Does he have a statewide, year long, any weapon, either species tag again this year?
-
Well put Brian. It’s interesting to actually hear “the whole story” on these things. What the heck are the odds that of the only two tags like this in the entire state, with 365 days a year to hunt that you guys would end up on this buck at the same time on the same day!?!! I realize that coues bucks of this class aren’t behind every tree so it’s possible but man that is unlikely! Good luck with the rest of the hunt and thanks for your support of AZ wildlife.
-
That exact same argument could be made from someone who can’t afford a $120 elk tag from the state. Drawing the line at what you personally can afford doesn’t it any different that you too are buying a public resource.
-
If I’m not mistaken Wyoming commissioner tags allow you to hunt only with the open weapon during the open season. So either they were breaking the law or you were bowhunting during the rifle season.
