Isn't it a late October or a late December hunt in there? The December hunt is obviously gonna be considerable better as they'll be starting to rut but also considerably harder to draw.

By the pictures yes they are, smoking deal Change the title to say HD and they'll be gone tomorrow.

That's where I got mine. Something about more then two axles and the price goes through the roof. No wonder I didn't see any semis on it!

I got one for $90 for pulling my boat on the toll road that goes around Denver just passing through one time.

wild/feral pigs in AZ where can i find some on public land?
yotebuster replied to plee911's topic in Other Big Game
Me and 8-10 of my buddies are looking for a good coues spot as well if anyone has one. Preferably in one of the leftover units and would like an area with no snakes and 110" bucks. Also looking for a good spot for OTC elk for myself and several of my friends. Not looking for huge bulls, 330+ would be good though.- 40 replies

This ^. It's a violation of federal law. In ND they killed off most of the elk in Theodore Roosevelt national park a few years back. They did use private hunters through a draw but they shot yearlings only and you couldn't touch them as they hired packers with horses to haul them out. I'm guessing this will go the same way. I'm hoping they fence off the water holes and haze them a bit first cuz I've got a tag in a couple weeks!!

Not quite 15 pounds but you could tie two together?

Swift Scirocco bullets accuracy
yotebuster replied to apache12's topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
150's shot extremely well out of my 7mm STW. Killed probably 40-50 critters with them and they perform awesome. Twice the bullet as an accubond in my opinion if you can get them to shoot out of your gun, use them. -
I still can't see the pic

Good lord? Who steals a frozen deer head? Sorry to hear about this. Hope it turns up.

A new record for me! Caught this out of the corner of my eye on US hwy85 here in ND on my way back to my farm/hunting cabin to plant corn! Can't believe how many thousands of cars musta drove by this one! Surprised to see a whitetail shed in this area as it's mostly mule deer in there.

Dang. I've got one up here in ND you can have.

How tall is she? A lot of people make the mistake of getting youth guns for women. Unless she's short, like under 5' 4" she would be better served with a adult size gun with a small reduction on the stock. Second thing about youth guns is they have stubby barrels. No better way to get someone frustrated with wingshooting them handing them an 18" barreled gun. 26" minimum in my opinion. Helps with muzzleblasr and the site plane is much longer and it will swing better. Finally, the 20 ga will kill anything out there but these days with the low recoil ammo available you'd have much more versatility with a 12 ga. You can get low base 7/8 oz 12 ga loads. That is exactly identical to a 20 ga load so the recoil claims people make are invalid. If you want her to have a gun with reduced recoil, a gas auto would reduce recoil far more then a sub guage.

Muzzleloaders are legal in ND so I use this one!! My dad killed his at 298 yards with it last weekend and I killed this one at 168 on Saturday! I try to call them in but if they hold up I airmail one to em. Last years was at 6 yards with a head shot. As far as shotguns go, the smaller the shot then better. It's an odds game. Heavyshot 7's will go clear through a turkeys head at 70 yards so keep your shot small and your numbers up!

Number of rifling grooves?
yotebuster replied to 300RUM's topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
I thought there was some science behind 5 groove in that it puts the lands opposite the grooves and thereby reducing deformation? I would think any odd number would do that. No personal input on which is better I just thought I read that somewhere along the line? -

This time I really am trying to help but I think you have a typo on the power and size of the binos. 3/4 mile FOV @ 1000 yards!!!

The difference is that it isn't Colburn and Scott outfitters raffling their hunt. This is to benefit the Arizona Deer Association which is a nonprofit. Most likely Jay Scott gave them that hunt at a reduced rate or even free so they can use it as a raffle prize. So they certainly aren't making a "huge profit" off of it,likely it's the exact opposite of that. They also do lot of raffles through the ADA for swaro binos etc. My guess is a company donates them the binos at cost and then they sell tickets and the proceeds go to the non profit. You're missing the entire point. A raffle benefits only two people, the winner, and the seller, and in these cases the seller is a nonprofit. The rest of the guys who buy tickets are doing it to benefit the non profit not to get a good deal on a hunt or pair of binos. I personally bought 5 tickets to the ADA raffle. Not because I have any remote inclination that I'm gonna get a $100 coues deer hunt, but because it was a good way to donate to a good cause and made me anticipate the drawing a little like I do with every drawing.
