Bringing up how crappy our last president was unfortunately does nothing to solve how crappy our current one is.

I thought we were gonna get somewhere with DOGE. I think Elon did as well, that cost him billions but he did it because he believed in it. Now here we are burning through any efficiencies we might created every 20 minutes in the name of Israel and whatever they’ve got over Trump.

I think all those things sound great. Let me know when we get a president that’s gonna start doing them!!

I have a March 2-20 on my old model 70. It’s an incredible scope and it looks less tactical and much more classic looking which compliments the walnut rifle.

I wouldn’t go much over 165 with that twist. If you wanna make it a long range rifel the three most important things are 1: trigger (absolute number 1, finding a replacement may be tough but might be able to have someone work it over) 2: scope (it’s gonna need to be repeatable on adjustments, I’ve yet to find one under $1800 that will do it year in and year out) 3: bedding and floating (the only wood stock rifle that I have that I consider a 800 yard rifle is a model 70 pre 64 7 STW my dad got me as a kid. I gutted the inside of the stock and put aluminum pillars and glass bedding in it. It sorta works but it’s no carbon fiber stock by any means)

You’re forgetting the number 1 rule about forebee. You don’t talk about forebee. The best unit in the state needs to stay under the radar. I honestly love that unit. There’s elk in pretty much the entire unit, higher density in the south half for sure. I love hunting the ponderosas personally. They thin them enough you can cruise alongside a herd from 200 yards out and get in front of em.

I drew a late rifle tag this year, but it’s just regular 23. I hear with the A tag you can hunt the whole Rez.

I’ve never hunted coues over there, but have hunted several of the units in the Gila. The archery hunts can be great, the rifle and muzzy seasons are usually tail end of rut. I’ve found they’ll be in the cows decent until the second the hunt starts and that’s their cue to get out of dodge. They’re all super hard to draw anymore, the big tag cut about 8-10 years ago made it tough. We used to draw a couple tags a year between me and my family, now it’s a tag about every 5 years between all of us.

That’s a really cool display. Thank you and your family for their service. My extended family didn’t have a ton of military history. I had a great uncle killed in Korea, but my immediate family has over 100 years of service time between myself, two brothers, mom and step dad. My brothers were in the Air Force and the rest of us army. I was fortunate enough to not have to deploy and did my 8 years stateside. My step dad, brother and mom all deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan multiple times. I’m the youngest and I guess got lucky.

I definitely don’t have TDS. I voted for the guy. You can’t honestly tell me that there’s a single person on this whole forum who wouldn’t take their hat off in that scenario. The others are in uniform, hat on outside and off inside, that’s a different set of customs and rules.

I definitely know what a salute is, there’s more vets out there then you think, some of us just don’t need to tell everyone every second. This one just happens to not think it’s too much to ask for someone to take off their hat if they’re not in uniform to honor someone who’s paid the ultimate sacrifice. As far as Afghanistan, I don’t see how one politicians blunder makes another politicians blunder any better, but I guess I just demand more from my politicians then what color tie they wear.

So what say all you active and veteran military members about this pic? Take the hat off man. I get if it’s part of a uniform, but I don’t think that qualifies in this case. 🤦🏻‍♂️
