What’s the twist on this thing?
-
The problem is a VX6 is like a $2k+ scope now, and it won’t track. No excuse for that.
-
Aging sheep off of their horn annuli is much much more accurate then cementum annuli.
-
Agreed. I’ve had 3 different vx6’s and none would track. For what they cost, you’re a few hundred bucks off from a good used or demo S&B, TT, or a new swaro.

I feel like the trade offs for FFP are much too great unless you are using subtensions for your shots. I won’t own a FFP scope. I don’t do competitions or games, just hunt. Here is my list of pros for a FFP 1: subtensions are the same at all powers here is my list of cons 1: reticle is way too small at low power and hard to see in low light (hence why almost all FFP are illuminated) 2: reticle is way too thick at high power (when you need it fine). 3: subtensions make a reticle “busy”. People that don’t shoot a lot (often my guns are used by friends and family) get distracted by them, heck even I do when I get really excited. I personally look for SFP scopes with a “clean” reticle. I prefer Schmidt and benders D4 reticle or a plain duplex. I dial every shot. If there isn’t time then I don’t shoot. If it’s under 300 yards my turret is set to 2 MOA so I can hold right on and shoot like any other rifle. SFP isn’t tactiCOOL, but I would argue a majority of guys that own FFP bought them because it’s just what the world told them was best and have no idea how to use the subtensions nor the skill to do it quickly if needed. There are certainly plenty of guys out there that understand them and use them but I would be it’s a minority.

What bottom metal is that and what diameter are the rings?
-
Whatdya gotta have for it without the scope?
-
That’s the 🐠 👁️ I don’t think it was the OP’s intent, but that stretched barrel will give up a fisheye every time.

All of this and I still don’t have a pic.

Sell it to me for $500 and I’ll take care of it 😃

My brother drew this tag this year and we’re gonna give it everything we got. His schedule is flexible enough to allow him to hunt the whole season, as well as get there 5 days early which I think will be extremely beneficial to be there at the tail end of the bowhunt and find a target bull on cows. I plan to get there the day before the hunt to help him with as much as I can as will our other brother. He’s probably gonna start with the more traditional elk country in the N end, but was curious if any of you guys had any luck finding bulls in the Mazatzals? We plan to bring backpacking gear in case we dig into there but that’s a big chunk of wild country to throw all of our chips in on! I’ve spent a bit of time in there over the years but didn’t see any elk. I guess shameless plug to any of you guys that spot a big one in there deer hunting!!! I’ll swing back around when it’s all said and done and let you guys know how it goes! (I accidentally posted this on monster muleys and am trying to get it deleted as I meant to post over here and apparently my brain is scrambled eggs today)

Sorry to hear about your great uncle. I would call them and ask. NM has no exchange policy to speak of and they let us transfer my late step father’s tag to my brother after he was killed in a car wreck. They may handle death differently than a normal transfer.

Missed that one. Definetly a point! Great first bull, or second, or 30th!
-
That’s an awesome bull but isn’t he a 5x6 with a busted g5 on his 5 pt side?
-
So atleast we now know through good sources that he may or may not be a tranny, or tranny banger, his parents are probably together but maybe divorced, his dad is a sheriff the makes countertops and we know what AI thinks he looks like. We do know for sure that since he’s a Utard, he probably tucks his ears under his flatty and refers to every piece of gear as a “game changer”.

I’ll be damned if 4chan wasn’t wrong about something. Interesting?!? Guess it’s a white Mormon guy.
-
Sorry, couldn’t resist. I think the 6.5 CM is probably the best youth rifle cartridge ever made actually!

I don’t have one, but if I did, I’d gladly sell it as fast as I could! 😂

Very cool!

High end Rifle question
yotebuster replied to MULEPACKHUNTER's topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
Is this a trick question? I think the last option would be the obvious? -
MOA CF2 reticle. 2 FP. It's been mounted once but no ring marks. Only has a front flip up scope cap, not sure if they come with front and rear or not. Small scufff on elevation turret pictured. Glass is great. $1500. PayPal gift, will ship and insure if covered.

No I sold it.

You and I have the same taste in rifles, you’re just quicker than I am! You got a .218 bee a while back too right? (Not a Sako, a 43 if I remember right)
