crazy rain last night - Power and McDowell - 3 inches in about 1 hour
-
any idea where that was taken? be cool to hunt the area and hand a deer in same location/ same way (ish)

I was there there today, Bass Pro is still in the process of purchasing - you can't use Bass Pro gift cards yet (I have two) They have a lot of inventory, guns, ammo, archery, camo, I looked at the new swaros, etc. I was pleasantly surprised -

life is short- don't wait to do what you want!

while I never hunted New Mexico for pronghorn, it's a great option if you really want to hunt antelope - NW Landowner tags are easy to get and it's much closer than WY - NW has big goats.... the ROI on buying a landowner tag vs. putting in for 25 years in AZ is a wash - you could have hunted one much sooner.... I am not advocating for not putting into the draw in AZ- if you really want to hunt a goat- there are options that don't include waiting 20+ years. If you can afford it do it- if you find.a nice tag- let me know LOL

Installed the turf myself- plenty of Youtube videos- we have had 2 -3 golden retrievers- it's hit or miss if they crap on the grass or rocks- every so often the turf needs to be rinsed with the hose and then I spray Simple Green for odor - when it dry out, there is no smell, when it rains and is humid it smells - that is when I use Simple Green in a sprayer .

REMINGTON 700 ULTIMATE Muzzleloader
Redman replied to marlin's topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
Two were made. Ultimate are a hot ticket now, going close to $1K- you DO NOT need one to make a long range- the action is all that will be used... Check out Match Grade Machine - built of Thompson Center Encore- reasonable - .45 cal is the way to go. Also check out: Hanks Precision Rifles Nielson Customer Rifles (will take a Remington UL and upgrade for $1600) Bestill Creations Arrowhead Rifles in Phx is best (IMO) cool website and Luke is very helpful with his videos. -
Man sucks, RIP Jake- This form has changed over the years, with FB and other social media members don't post anymore - hate to see long timers pass... sometimes members stop posting and that is all, other leave this place and hopefully to somewhere better.

RIP Del!

Further south is oak and grassland - where the unit begin is typical desert by Armado- I prefer the later.... in all reality the areas G&F provide are great starting points-
-
Best recommendation is visit AZ G&F website "where to hunt" - then head down there and check out the areas, the unit has much different terrain from desert to grassy oak- preference will be a factor- you can drive the roads in a day then settle in to an area.

very unfortunate -prayers to family and friends- RIP

oh to dream to win that coues, elk, sheep or mule deer tag... congrats to those won won...

Arizona has been LONG known for OTC hunts- every publication from Huntin Fool to Field and Stream has publicized this for a long time. 2020 and probably 2021 with CV-19 were strange years, many people changed their life habits - no more soccer or flag / tackle football games for little Johnny, kids not in school.... many people not working in the office, people had time to burn. Not condoning G&F paying celebrities to hunt, but they always had a marketing budget-
