Where my fellow Doge coin billionaires at?
Redman replied to firstcoueswas80's topic in The Campfire
I am rocking- with DOGE- XRP isn't doing crap.... yet. Musk will host SNL and DOGE is going to go "to the moon"! I put in $500 in Jan hoping to get the new Swaros.... now I can get all new glass (binos, spotter, scope, and still have $$) but I am not pulling out- my 12x50's will have to work LOL. -
I had that tag and had a good hunt. After 3 scouting trips I came to realize it's a rough unit with NO roads I have hunted elk in NM, CO, Mont, Utah and AZ, that unit is as tough to hump in everyday My advice pay someone to pack in your camp and pack out your elk, it will be really hard to hike in from a truck everyday (sure luck could be on your side) I hired Tom Klumker, there are a few others, 2 of us paid $2400 (or something like that), packed in all of our gear for 7 days and packed out my elk- set us up near a spring and we had plenty of water - we were about 5 miles in and I shot my elk about 1.5 miles from camp- the bull was bugling in a recent burn. Good luck

No first hand experience with either-but was really lookin at the CVA (sure it's a great ML) I went with a Thompson Pro-Hunter with Match Grade Machine (MGM) Barrel (and breech plug) .45 cal - improved the trigger with new springs- was really thinking about a smokeless setup (barrel from Arrowhead)- but probably wouldn't use it since not allowed in AZ or NM - a smokeless barrel can use smoke powder but not the other way around (mostly). Going to shoot the ArrowHead XLD -275 grain (to start) with BH 209- hopefully get good performance (waiting on barrel to test) Check out MGM, Arrowhead and Hanks Precision websites- good stuff to watch and read One thing that changed my mind was an opinion (by Arrowhead) that the CVA Paramount wasn't that great, but they have come out with the second gen so? , Plus I like the idea of switching the barrel for a centerfire with the Thompson (probably never will either) Good luck

Help! Thompson Center Omega Trigger - broke
Redman posted a topic in Muzzleloader hunting for Coues Deer
Last weekend during the HAM hunt- my friends Thompson Center Omega ML trigger broke in half (no idea how), the finger pull portion broke. The upper portion is still attached to trigger assembly. Not a big deal until he called Thompson Center - the Omega is no longer made and no triggers in stock. Searched the web multiple ways and can't find one. Hope is one could be machined - any recommendations? Thanks in advance. -

There are a lot of camera that run off batteries (Blinq) but most need Wifi (unless you run a cable) - can you get Wifi service at the end of your road? Another option would be to have a trail camera with cellular- not sure what the cost is.

Looking for 30 cal 215 grain Hybrid Target Bergers and Blackhorn 209 - building a ML and need for load development. Let me know if you got any of the above items- no frantic hurray but don't want it to become one.

I was at Costco today and there was a really nice flood light and wifi camera for $99 - no subscription fee ever. 150 yds is a good distance- do you have power close by? you could use a wifi extender outside (password protected) these are not costly - around $30 bucks - I think you will have the same issue (wifi signal) no matter what camera you use- not sure how strong the wifi signal is. at the end of driveway- the Blink are also nice- I have (4) of these around my house - they operate off (2) AA battery and have great images and motion detection.
