WT Personal best for distance
Redman replied to Shooter McGavin's topic in Coues Deer Hunting in Arizona
Nice job! It sounds like you were by yourself, which can definitely make things more challenging. Sometimes, sharing too much information can open up an ethical debate, but I appreciate the honesty. You practiced and at some point everyone shoots a deer beyond what they practiced. I’ve seen a professional shooter—someone who competes in intense courses with varying distances, running from one target to the next and demonstrating exceptional skill—miss an animal after going through a long setup for the shot. It just goes to show how unpredictable things can be, even for the pros. -
Muzzleloading (ML) is a process I've refined over time. With each rifle I've used, I've learned something new. The ML I use now is my best shooting rifle, custom-made by Bestill Creations. I also have two other custom-built rifles. The best advice I can give is to always mark your ramrod and ensure 1000% that your rifle isn't already loaded—your life depends on it. Beyond the ramrod mark, it's all about trial and error. Different sabots will perform better than others, depending on your barrel. Even a few grains of powder can make a big difference in your shot grouping. Also, keep in mind that most states, including New Mexico, Utah, and Colorado, have "outlawed" power scopes on muzzleloaders. Depending on your hunting plans, you’ll need to consider this. I worry that Arizona may follow suit in the near future as well. Here are a few things I recommend, depending on your setup and approach: Arrowhead has a great website, and Luke provides a wealth of knowledge through his YouTube videos. Hanks Muzzleloader always has solid information, too. In terms of equipment, here are some essentials: Bullet sizer Loading press Quality scale (for measuring BH 209 by weight—not volume) Arrowhead LMRP primer holders Load-through funnel Cedar Mountain Quick Loader Quality cleaning supplies Hope this helps BH 209 is always hard to come by. When you find some, get an extra container. Another option to consider is a Thompson Center (used) then equip with a Match Grade Machine barrel / arrowhead breach plug, lighten the trigger and that would be a great 300 yd ML

I have a different take on Camofire.- I thought it was a scam, poor return policy and I know people who work for businesses that sold (or provided) items to them and per the people I know- jack asses - I also noted anythig on sale I could find on Amazon for 1-3% more but way better return policy. What I did like is seeing things I have no use for but often thought about buying 😀

Needing Blackhorn 209 High Performance Powder
Redman replied to Arizona 79's topic in Classified Ads
It says Blackhorn 209 - then high performance muzzleloading propellant on the container. @Arizona 79 as stated Scheels has some in Chandler - if you absolutely need one - I have 1-2, the price is $90 ea. Same price as the store - as I will need to replace. -
I am your huckleberry! I have an ATX and I would rather have an STX - I have the same case that we can trade also. Send you a PM.

my pump has a screen that can get blocked and reduce water pressure. any pump works that 12V or even 110 if you run it off generator. Amazon has multiple pumps that are $50 vs $200 for pentair - some are louder than others. I would target sone with the sam PSI - most are 45psi with a 3 GPM - but there are some that go up to 75psi

That is way cool, thanks for sharing

Potable Drinking Water Fill -up in Show Low/Pine Top???
Redman replied to rossislider's topic in The Campfire
The spring on the way to Big Bear / Hawley wasn't running on the 4th Hon Dah is a good spot, camp ground in Greer, Elk Horn RV in Showlow -just past Walmart across the street. The store at Sunrise Ski lastly the Maverick past the turn off to Pinetop (keep going straight on the 60). -
I have the full size - and love it, they both work the same. I camped in the trees last week and had some obstructions but bought a longer cord and it worked out. At one time I had 27 devices connected and most kids and adults where on their phones, last week used 350 gigs of data since everyone was on it (I have unlimited). the days of telling stories are over, fact checking is easy LOL. People watched Netflix at night. Enabling wifi calling on phone allows phone calls anytime when in reach of the starlink router. I believe the mini uses less power - so that is a good thing - I have a Ecoflow battery pack 300W that give Starlink about 3 hrs of use before needing charge- the Ecoflow charges quickly (30 mins), I have a solar panel (100 W) and when the sun is out it keeps the Ecoflow charged. - Starlink pulls about 60 watts. My toyhauler has 2 deep cycle batteries and don't have an inverter and probably won't- bought a small gas generator for that can run for 10 hrs on 0.8 gallons of gas vs the on board Onan. If I had to do over, I would have bought a 600W or bigger Ecoflow. Get the roam plan and you can pause it when not needed and you don't get de prioritized.
