Redman replied to murfys69law's topic in Long Range Shooting
Call vortex never had this problem and there are plenty of reviews with Vortex, first i have heard of it -
I have the older model and its by far the best GPS / watch I ever had.

Thanks for the cool story, I resisted the urge to scroll down and just look at the pictures. What a great buck. We got chased off the hill on Friday night, the wind was blowing so hard my friend thought his tent was going to rip apart. We moved down the hill (which was very big) at 11:30 at night. Congrats on a great buck

Tap It Systems selling STOLEN Kowa Highlanders (Please Read)
Redman replied to wilderness1's topic in Classified Ads
Kowa should man up. You bought the binos from a authorized dealer. You can assist Kowa in the prosecution of this scum bag.... I am sure your thinking this is way too much drama...all you wanted to do is glass... for miles -
With the list you provided, the 1850 will not work.... the pictures of my pack does not include a bladder or any drinks in it... sure I think you could cram it all in.... but there is not a significant extra weight with to the 3200... my binos are 12x50 so 15x would take up more room..... GPS is my watch...
-
Yes I can put the tripod on the outside. I prefer to not take off my tripod plate and bino mounting adapter (I have lost one when it was on the outside of my pack). If I had the 3200 this would be not issue
-
A few picks with everything in it....not much room. Binos, spotter, and tripod. I also have a head lamp, range finder and rope.... Bare minimum
-
I have the 1850 and wish i had the 3200, by the time i get my spotting scope, tripod and binos there is not much room for anything else...headlamp,knife range finder, its tight... however I wear my binos on my chest once in the field and the pack opens up...but walking in the dark I don't need to wear my binos and my pack is full...hard to fit food and beer I mean drinks in the pack... something to think about I would recommend the 3200 or the Outdoorsman Pack....

Solomon was replaced, then came back in and threw a TD, then was replaced again. Now WSU (and all other teams) have to prepare for 2 QB's.... Rich Rod has stated Randell was going to play... smart move by Rich Rod. CO is lowly, but when a coach guarantees a win and homecoming.... the Cats withstood and won even with their starting RB out. your correct on Scooby, but they also lost 2 other starting LB's....
-
So Devil, you don't think Stanford is quality, but you think UCLA is? Not saying ASU has not had injuries but UA has lost their QB and 3 starting LB's not to mention one was the best defense player in NCAA.... Looks like both team will be playing for a trip to the Sunbowl
-
No ASU posts this weekend, what gives? No picture of the standings...hummm something fishy going on on CWT... As a UA fan, needed ASU to win... Utah has the Pac 12 South all but wrapped up now. Stanford and Utah will be a good match up
-
that's how you do it!!!

No... that is a bear -
The PAC 12 Commissioner should be fired. there are like 200,000 people watch PAC 12 network.... the SEC has 2.3 million.... we wonder why PAC 12 sucks and hasn't won jack crap in years.
-
As a Cats fan... and somebody who is sending a lot of $$ to UA (son).... its hard to win with a back up QB and the 3 starting LB's out.... Standford is a great team.... I despise UCLA more than any other PAC 12 school AND that goes for ASU also, I am glad ASU won. ASU played well and when the pressure was on, they stepped up. It was a good win. ASU has a winnable game next week, then play two tough games... UA doesn't have a bye this year, one of 3 NCAA teams which is complete BS, but play 3 winnable games in a row...

no deal was made last year to apply for BP? Haha What awesome bulls.

this. lol @ moving from the road to glass. only glasses from road crew. im ordering one of these for a .257 weatherby. says 3 weeks dleivery is that pretty accurate? no kidding... oh the lions still hurt to think about it.... I like to glass from the road, the ice chest and radio make it a good day.... at noon break out the grill....i even keep a cot in the back to take a nap...put down the tail gate and instant shade....

I had one for my 300 WSM and it worked well Got a new rifle and scope, scope has a mil turret and I now use a ballistic program on my phone. 1st bobo, glassing from a road spot a very nice buck, take off like a bat out of heck.... get about mile from the truck realized my phone is in the truck.... the whole thing went wrong after that. 2nd mistake.... okay now I print my ballistics and keep in my range finder case.... glassing again from the road. two mountains lions spotted, get about 300 yds from the truck... where is my phone... oh never-mind... I got the ballistics printed.... get within 500 yds of the lions, one is very large tom (much bigger than the one I have already killed), trying to get setup. give the chart to my son (who is looking through the binos)... can't get a shot because of angle / trees, etc... walk about 100 yds around the hill... lions have moved, but I spot them again, 550 yds (chip shot), rock solid rest. "Son give me the chart".... uhhhh i left on the ground back there.... still breaks my heart.... So yeah things can and will go wrong in the field... now I print the chart for specifically where I am hunting and tape to my rifle (like i used to do)..... Really thought about buying another turret from Keyton, but cant use the ballistic program, I like the customization for the variables with the program... key point to remember is to have your dang phone with you I would have bought the G5 rangerfinder but it does work with a mil scope

Finally got my Garmin VIRB camera back from my nephew, check out the video of his bear hunt, the camera was mounted to the dog.... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ux8srlomp9c The finished product...excuse the overalls....

a coworker is an avid bicyclist with crazy expensive bikes...his home was broke into and lost tens of thousands in bike parts, frames, etc..... luckily he had a rider insurance policy and found a loop hole in his homeowners policy...he about broke even. long story short.... I heard his horror story from listening to him speak to the insurance company..... a simple "rider or personal policy would have taken care of this.... coverage is cheap, for every $10K its about $100 a year....
