I like to glass from the road, the ice chest and radio make it a good day.... at noon break out the grill....i even keep a cot in the back to take a nap...put down the tail gate and instant shade....

I had one for my 300 WSM and it worked well Got a new rifle and scope, scope has a mil turret and I now use a ballistic program on my phone. 1st bobo, glassing from a road spot a very nice buck, take off like a bat out of heck.... get about mile from the truck realized my phone is in the truck.... the whole thing went wrong after that. 2nd mistake.... okay now I print my ballistics and keep in my range finder case.... glassing again from the road. two mountains lions spotted, get about 300 yds from the truck... where is my phone... oh never-mind... I got the ballistics printed.... get within 500 yds of the lions, one is very large tom (much bigger than the one I have already killed), trying to get setup. give the chart to my son (who is looking through the binos)... can't get a shot because of angle / trees, etc... walk about 100 yds around the hill... lions have moved, but I spot them again, 550 yds (chip shot), rock solid rest. "Son give me the chart".... uhhhh i left on the ground back there.... still breaks my heart.... So yeah things can and will go wrong in the field... now I print the chart for specifically where I am hunting and tape to my rifle (like i used to do)..... Really thought about buying another turret from Keyton, but cant use the ballistic program, I like the customization for the variables with the program... key point to remember is to have your dang phone with you I would have bought the G5 rangerfinder but it does work with a mil scope

a coworker is an avid bicyclist with crazy expensive bikes...his home was broke into and lost tens of thousands in bike parts, frames, etc..... luckily he had a rider insurance policy and found a loop hole in his homeowners policy...he about broke even. long story short.... I heard his horror story from listening to him speak to the insurance company..... a simple "rider or personal policy would have taken care of this.... coverage is cheap, for every $10K its about $100 a year....

How do you lock up your Ice chest/coolers???
Redman replied to PelaPapas's topic in Other Hunting Gear
My ex- bro-in- law and I pulled our boat up to the shore at Roosey , we saw a guy running out of our camp with drinks in his hands.... we chased him down and caught him... we where gonna give him a beating, but called the cops instead and held him there until the cops showed. He was arrested as he had gone through our tents and had other items.... funniest thing about this ..... my sister made some "white girl burritos" and he had taken a bite out of one and spit it on the ground, he threw the burrito on the ground.... he knew bad cooking when he tasted it... we gave my sister crap all weekend about her cooking -
WOW that thing is a beast... congrats

I have one and can't wait to use it. I have a bow mount (acts like a stabilizer) and a head-band to film hunts... I have used it underwater to film fish in the stream... The overlay in the video with a heart monitor is cool... I don't have a heart monitor but would like to see the affects of "buck fever"

The Latest: US giving UN $26.6 million to help migrants
Redman replied to ctafoya's topic in The Campfire
its more like a $0.00002 tip A lot of people in the US don't know how good we got it.... I am speaking about the far left. What I have seen on Twitter and FB makes me sick (the bad guys are heroes, heroes are the bad guys.....) A person cannot choose where they are born, what separates the person is what they do when they are born in a great country like the US. Do they love and support this great country or feel entitled and want to destroy the norms and values that made the country great.... Its amazing how patriotic the US was after 9/11, now I am amazed how that has changed to anti- US .... -

I have a 2015 and had a 6 inch Rough Country lift installed, $1800 (total labor and parts installed). There is another part that is needed to align the carrier bearing this was $100 New tires and rims (lug nuts, tire pressure sensors) are needed with offset. This hurt the pocked book... more than he lift. Truck drives really well like it was stock. https://www.facebook.com/prestigecustom.rides/photos/pb.143302409020477.-2207520000.1440945825./1110978748919500/?type=3&theater

no jackwod.. just because I did not list every option... Its a 4x4,.... calm down bro. is it your ad? i thought you were buying a truck not selling it. the seller didnt list it as 4x4 that i saw. my bad...sorry
-
no it doesn't say "Chevrolet"..... entitled American car company bailed out on the American Tax Payer dollar... no jackwod.. just because I did not list every option... Its a 4x4,.... prior to purchasing a truck I stooped by a well known 4x4 shop to ask how much lifts cost, etc..since they spend all day under trucks, I wanted to know what was there opinion was on how new trucks where built.... "the tundra are built very well, they are like a 3/4 ton chevy" called another shop got the same answer So Chevy must be pretty good then? I mean if a Toyota is built like them.... 3/4 vs 1/2 ton.....sorry i will not buy another bailed out American car... even thought I still own a 01... will not buy another. Ford or Toyota

I was looking for a newer truck for a long time, i thought used was more affordable... then I priced the new Tundras so I got a new 2015 crewmax, the new Tundras are priced close enough to used ... took advantage of great incentives from Toyota. I really like the truck, put a 6 inch lift with new tires and rims. It will pull my 26ft camp trailer with no problem...towing 10 MPG, non-towing around 13-14 depending how I stomp on it. I also have a Chevy Silverado 2001 that I am keeping for the hills...the Toyota will be a payment queen for a few years. After looking at the DOW today... wonder if the market is going to crash again.

no reason to bring up the pistol grip or anything else. when was the last time you used a Outdoorsman stud? If not in the last year, then you need to tray again, the new stud doesn't do what you described, my old stud did...not the new one.
