USFS Anti Hunting Move
Redman replied to azmetalman's topic in Political Discussions related to hunting
This is totally ridiculous, the court system is corrupt. Hopefully the USFS will not allow this or close it to EVERYONE if it needs to be closed on one section of people. Anti-hunting groups should never be underestimated. -
HA! I have had that mark before....the good old idiot mark! Like you said, he hung in there and put the smack down on that great bull! Good times!
-
Nice!!! Couldn't help but to notice the mark on your face....is that just blood, or did the scope hit you (p.s. the scope has hit me one too many times and I had a mark just like that....)?

Whoa.....all those from the same hunt! Can I come next year? Congrats!

here is what you do, say you are going to study hall, borrow a friends rifle and go hunting never saw what the grade was...nor your average, and not knowing you hard to say much more than you must respect your father's wishes. Look at it like an organized sport in high school, no pass...no play.

That a good buck with nice eye guards.

Wow that a great buck....way to hold it together while shooting,

Nice!! Congrats!

well if you have multiple photos of the same people over 10 minutes starring into your cam i would say he's trying to steal it!! He does??? Then why is just one photo posted that does NOT show anything other a guy looking at it....three posts by a guy and you take his word with one photo??? Is this still America???? doesn't somebody have to be PROVEN guilty? If there are more pictures I will recant....I know my ugly mug has been caught on camera more than once just walking by...and I would sure hate to be accused that I stole something just by a SINGLE picture of me walking by or looking into a camera.

Not sure why I did not do this earlier....wished I had before I just ordered a new pair of lens caps....at $14.00 bucks each I could have save over $35.00 (shipping). I have replaced the lens caps on my swaros multiple times, today I found a fix that I think will last. Hope somebody finds this useful. I had one lens cap torn off from the rubber band holding it to the ring that goes around the objective and the other was about to 1/2 of the way torn. I took some electrical tape (high quality) and cut it into small strips. I ran the tape around the ring and down each side of the rubber strap (beginning and ending at the lens cap, like a "U" shape). I repeated three times. Then I took the tape and wrapped it around the rubber strap (with the tape on it) sideways multiple times (to hold the tape on the rubber strap). I can pull hard on the lens cap and it will not separate from the ring and they still function easily going on and off the binos. Redman

Bellota, you can do whatever you want - but the PM tool has been almost exclusively used for instances like your willingness to advise on locations. No one is criticizing your willingness to help others be successful - we are all for it. But you obviously are not paying attention to how many e-scouters come on here looking for tips because they don't want to do the work. Look at the bottom of the screen and you can see from time to time that there are guests who are reading this post who are not registered and they are just skimming for tips on where to go. Amanda could probably give us some stats on how many skimmers come onto the forum. If they don't take the time to scout - they probably don't take the time to know the rules - they probably don't take the time to be courteous to other hunters - they probably don't take the time to practice shooting and they are probably not the kind or type of hunter I want slinging bullets in my area. That said...it is a free country. This topic has been viewed over 2000 times (one can see the number "views" from the main Rifle Hunting Screen". Maybe all 475 tag holders have viewed this topic....with the access issues in 32....maybe all will stop by and say hey to Bellota!

+1 +2 Yeah this is just a brag board for people to post pictures of 100+ inch deer....and a place for people to complain that their trail cam get messed with....do not ask for help!
-
A lot has changed in the past 20 years, specifically in the last 5 years. Trail cameras are now inexpensive to the point most people can put them out (I have seen them on clearance for $50), shoot some have better quality cameras than the average digital camera used for taking family leisure pictures. Its only a matter of time before trail cam technology will allow pictures taken on a trail cam to immediately be sent to a phone or computer (I know this is already available but soon this will also be inexpensive). Then whats gonna happen.....As technology changes, maybe the regs should change? Redman

Maybe something has changed besides a few little noise suppression trinkets...
