New Bow Hoyt Carbon Matrix.....
Redman replied to SuperiorBowHunter's topic in Bowhunting for Coues Deer
That's the best advice you could get. Shoot them all, get the one YOU!! like (not your buddy). Not sure if the carbon is worth the $$...... -
Paper tuning is a tool....it does not tell everything should it be thought as the end all (IMO). Walk back tuning is a good to do in addition with paper tuning. Have you tried backing down the poundage on your bow a bit? Cams timed? Are you getting flecthing contact anywhere, try lipstick on your flectching ? That is what I am thinking. How are you shooting? Do you broadheads hit with your field points?? Last suggestion would be to go to a quality archery shop and ask them to help....hang in there I wish I could help more. Redman

Nice! Thanks for sharing two down in 5 mins, can't beat that! Are you hooked now?

New bow -Hoyt, mathews, or bowtech?
Redman replied to Buckhunter's topic in Bowhunting for Coues Deer
The Strother look to be a good bow in the making....they have multiple bows in the 31-33 axle length. Elite Archery also has some sweet bows.... I would encourage one to shoot as many bows they can...its a big purchase make it count. -
My Swaro 15's were knocked out of alignment last year on my deer hunt when my tripod blew over. They were repaired free of charge and returned within 10 days. Mine had more than alignment problem, the lens was scratched. Redman

Tripod adapter was the reason I selected the Swaros in the 15x. However, I have been looking for a 8x or 10x power and prefer the Zeiss over Swaros, I like that they have a transferable lifetime warranty and pretty much every review I have read on the 8 or 10 x favor Zeiss T FL and Lecia over Swaro. I have had to send my Swaro for service twice (my fault...falls)...they did not charge me a crazy amount each time (about $200) but still thats $200 when Zeiss, Lecia, Nikon, even crappy Pentax could have done for free.

Hey Wackycouesaddict, Keep doing what your doing and don't worry about what other people think. I will offer some advice and PLEASE don't take this the wrong way, but Google has a tool bar that has spell checker that checks your spelling for you as you type (when something is typed that is not spelled correctly it will underline it red. Right click on the red underlined word and it will offer a few words spelled correctly. Click on the word that was intended and it will change it for you). This will only help you (not just posting on the internet but improve your writing skills, which are so valuable in life). Also, keep in mind 90% of individuals on CWT have already been 17......some are a bit more grumpy than a 17 year old! Redman

This post makes a lot more sense considering the tragedy suffered by Ronald Ryan.....I went back an read through and wonder if the people who thought hunting in Mexico was no risk have changed their minds.... Redman

Looks like the advice given on CWT did some good (throw the tickets in the trash)....MAN I LOVE JAN BREWER..... She's got my vote! http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20100507/ap_on_...a_speed_cameras Redman

Lets see if I can help with your confusion...... it's a hunting website with a discussion forum. Within the discussion forum there are different topics that can be discussed..... Within your topic there is a political bias..... (it's a real big problem.....it will not fix immigration when it goes into law.....those are political statements... ) if you don't want to read political topics then don't open them and don't make political statements.... but the truth is any statement can be made political (just as I did)....

Just ask John Edwards or his illegitimate kid how credible the Inquirer is...... they single handedly kept that ambulance chaser from becoming president.... -
Can we get some close up pics of the broadhead? Like the idea, how much different is it from the Swhacker? Redman

Have you tried to use "walk back" tuning? Sometimes at longer ranges this tuning can be helpful? Redman

Take at look at AT, daily there are rests (used) for sale that are 1/3 of retail there are some QAP, Ripcords, etc going to $30....I have seen new ones listed for $75.... http://www.archerytalk.com/vb/forumdisplay.php?f=102

I currently have the Trophy Ridge Drop Zone and have had it for almost two years. I have had zero problems with it. However one of the great things (i.e. great chance to spend money on something I don't need) with archery is the notion to change or tinker......with that being said I have been looking at the Limb Driver rest and have contemplated changing...I like how it does not use the string or cable for action (attaches to the limbs). http://www.vaportrailarchery.com/limbDriver.asp Redman

The republican party ( as you cannot call it the conservative party after the previous 8 years of unchecked spending) is the one that needs a good slugging for putting John McCain and Sarah Palin as the party's nomination.....you betcha! We can only hope and pray that the republication party is not dumb enough to nominate Palin 2012..... Redman -
There is no need, however if someone is asking for suggestions and is just getting set up, it may as well be close to specification as it should, it will make tuning a bow much easier. The manufactures wouldn't produce difference spines if it did not make a difference.... I can remember the first animal I killed with a bow....my bow was probably 2 inches too long in draw length, my arrows were bought on clearance based on price not what was correct and my broadheads were taken from my father in laws archery box....that setup killed it dead as dead....but could have been disastrous ....
