Sat in a blind last weekend, killed two scorpions, a few spiders, and had ants crawling all around and on me....that would be my only concern. Set my binos on the ground and picked them up, noticed something handing from the strap....in was a friggin scorpion!! I made sure my pants were touching my boots all day after that (thinking the insects would craw up my pants not under my pants) I also came upon two rattlesnakes. The joys of August! Redman

Ground blinds and photo radar
Redman replied to Non-Typical Solutions's topic in Coues Deer Hunting in Arizona
Stick..... heck with the stick....I was going to say a rock....no wait....we must tackle the animal and kill it with our bear hands, but only when when its not eating, because if they can't drink in peace they must be able to eat in peace..... Redman -
Sweet, I hope to someday have one in the bag. Hopefully today! Congratulations. Redman

Wetmule, I could not agree with you post any more! I personally am thankful for Jim (and others) taking the time to post thier story and pictures of thier hunt for me to read and enjoy, for a few minutes of a day I get away from this concert h e l l. Every time I visit this CWT (which is a free website for my enjoyment) I appreciate the pictures and stories people post (just read BML's archery coues story and it was awesome). I hope people continue to share thier success. Redman -
I would first call Zack at PSE Proshop in Tucson, then call Archery Headquaters, Ross Outdoors, and Broken Arrow. See if anybody has a string in stock. There are a ton of string makers on ArcheryTalk I am sure you can get one expedited (H&M Bowstrings, Little Johns, etc. http://www.archerytalk.com/vb/forumdisplay.php?f=103). You will need to take to a shop and have it put on. If all else fails, what is your draw length? You can borrow my PSE X-Force. Redman

What distance is your muzzleloader sighted in at?
Redman posted a topic in Muzzleloader hunting for Coues Deer
New to muzzleloader. Have a Thompson Omega with a Leupold scope, shooting Buckhorn 209 with 260 grain Deadcenter sabot. Wondering what you have your scope zero at. 100, 150, 200 yds??? Redman -

I cannot believe the cops cited this kid for disorderly conduct. I saw this unfold on the news yesterday, all he was doing was hiking. Unbelievable!! http://www.azfamily.com/news/homepagetopst...comments_anchor Redman

Yeah..... they all just want a better life and sing Kumbaya..lets just remove the boarder so its easier than immigrating the correct way. Somebody is going to kill the biggest buck in 36C, I am not one for guarantees, but good luck. Redman

I have not had any trouble with the illegals while hunting in the units south of I-10. But, people are fooling themselves or have thier head in the sand if they think illegals are not causing trouble for them. How about THIER tax dollars going towards the 20 MILLION illegals.....how many trillions are the American tax payer spending? Every citizen is effected by the drugs, violence, theft, astronomical health-care costs, prison terms for illegals, I could go on and one......... Redman

Where is all the liberals that were crying about the Patriot Act!!!!! Its no longer Liberals vs. Conservatives......everybody in Washington must get voted out. Redman

Good ol country boy made her look like a FOOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He was well spoken and I think his correct responses caught her off guard..nothing on the crack use.....Our president would have said "well......ah.....ah.....well....lets look at the fundmentals.....ah.......(wheres my teleprompter). Got to love CNN's attack on God, Guns, and Freedom. Redman -

I'd call that deer a toad.... Redman -
great point Casey, long range shooting will always be more about practice and knowing your equipment rather than just having it. Really? Yesterday I saw a Remington commercial that said "rifle is hunt ready right out of the box"....since the scope was bore sighted, it shows a three shot pattern on paper.... One must practice long shots to be proficient at it, some people are inherently better shots that others. I do not think alexjh1 ever made any reference to long range shooting...just he thought the BDC reticle was cool. Everybody starts somewhere. Redman

More people responded to the cash for clunkers than thought.... There had to be a limit on the funding..... 1 billion probally seemed like a big number...... The government's fix is simple....... More TAX PAYER FUNDS for this program........ THE CASH FOR CLUNKERS IS BULL SH** to begin with.... Why should my tax dollars go towards another American to drive a new car?????? At least 11 Billion a month for the war in Iraq...... Countless other billions to save GM....... GM should have been dissolved before the end of 2008...... but our idiot government gave them a handout.....now the American tax payer owns them..... Redman.....in need of billions....

The bill as it stands is a mess and I doubt there will ever be a good bill for all sides, however, some of the points provided and the "comments or narration" are solely to excite a knee jerk response. One should read it themselves and draw thier own conclusions. Hopefully this bill will not be voted on until Oct, by then the public and experts can closely examine it. Redman

??? Well, my Leupold was not a high end Leupold (VX II 3 x 9), I really like the quality of the Bushnell and there are some very good reviews on it. To get a similar scope in Leuplod, one would have to spend at least double the $$. My Leupold is going on my muzzleloader... Hopefully I will not even need to use my new scope since I will hope to arrow a buck in August Redman

Oh...I sorry I did not get that you alreay bought it...my son's .243 has a Nikon scope and its a great scope. You will be very happy. You got a good deal on the scope. How are your bino's? Redman
-
I have seen that scope (Nikon) at Bearbasin for less $$ than you would spend at Cabela's. I just picked up a Bushnell 4200 6-24 x 44. Mil dot for $329 shipped. I currently have a Leupold but a friend had the Bushnell and I liked it much better. We will see how it goes. Redman

Why are there more "radar photo enforced" signs posted than speed limit signs? Why are there more "radar photo enforced" signs on the left hand side of a 6 or 8 lane freeway? Its hard to even find a speed limit sign on the left side of the freeway, try adding taffic ....its really not that "easy"....not sure how much you drive, but I can tell you almost every mobile van is a setup where speed limits change.
