Anybody know of a landowner tag for sale in unit 23 (mule deer)? Long story short a friend and I put in on the same app he got drawn I did not..... I was not drawn due to non-payment (I was on his credit card but I guess we did not check a box to aurthorize my charge)... I'd like to see how much one is... Thanks Redman

If your thinking of a new pair of glasses, this is my testimonial for Swarovski!!! During my son's javelina hunt, I fell and really smacked my 15x56's on a rock. I should have taken pictures to show, but as a result, the glasses would not focus, the eye cups were torn, the rubber housing was scratched, and one objective got scratched. I called Swarovski and was told the repair for the objective would be $75.00 and the rest would be taken care of. I sent them in and in about 5 weeks they came back. I just cannot believe how great they look, they are like a brand new pair. Two objectives were replaced (when I only asked for one), the rubber housing, and the eye cups. The only other experience I had with a bino repair was from Pentax. All I can say is I will never buy anything from Pentax again..... i sent a pair of their the top of the line SP's back and got a bill for $250, and all they did was clean and align (the foucus noob wouldn't hold). As we all know, spending 2k on a pair of binos in a huge investment. I could not be happier with the service I have received from Swarovski!! Redman

Greetings, I have not e-scouted in a long time, but since there are so few bear tags in unit 33 I doubt anybody will be giving up a honey hole (no pun intended). I have only seen one bear in the wild. I am looking for a little help. A friend has a archery bear tag in 33 that runs for a while. Can anybody offer any advice? Redman

First comfrimed Discover card was charged today... but it was not mine . At least some cards are still posting charges. Redman

For all you lucky people who got charges, do you mind sharing what type of cards were charged (no credit card numbers please ) Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, etc. True credit cards or Visa debit cards? p.s. I put in with Discover and when I check my recent activity the following type of message appears. "please allow 5-7 days for recent transactions to appear" Thanks Redman (still holding out hope)

One solution may be to determine quality hunts and prevent people from putting in for 5 years after being drawn for only these hunts, then one could put in for the "non-quality" hunts or cow tags. Or allow bounus points to still be purchased during the 5 year waiting period. Then the G&F don't lose the $7.50. Redman

I’m only 10 years old and I went hunting for a pig. I hunted between February 23, 2007 and March 1, 2007. Its nothing like deer hunting. I thought it was going to be easy hunting but it wasn’t. In case you were wondering, I had rodeo break on the 23rd. It was fun until the 25th. My dad, I ,and others camped for 3 days and did not see a pig. I had school the next day. In the week I had school I went hunting on Tuesday and Thursday after school. On Tuesday, I saw a pack of pigs, shot 3 times but I didn’t hit one. Thursday was my lucky day!!! I believe I saw the same pack from Tuesday. I shot twice but the pigs ran over the hill. I followed them over the hill. My dad was looking on the next hill so I looked on the bottom of the hill… “Dad! They’re down there!” I got my gun and aimed at a big pig I shot it twice!! I hit it in the brains and the intestines. That was the best hunt I had in my two hunts! Redman Jr.

I would think Zeiss would cover them under warranty and there should be a repair facility in the US. I just shipped my swaros back to Rhode Island, cost was $38 for shipping and insurance. Redman

I may not be of much help since I never had the Zeiss, but here is my story. This year I purchased the 15x56's swaros. I had the Pentax 12.5 x 50 SP ($800 pair of glasses) there is no comparison between the two. The swaros are absolutely great. I have the crooked horn bino carrier and they don't bother me at all (weight). I actually love bow-hunting with them, because I flip my bow over and rest them on my cam and they are really steady. I have a tripod and the adaptor was free and I can glass for much longer periods of time. The last day of my son's pig hunt, I busted my butt, and smacked my glasses as hard as one could imagine on a rock. Now they are cocked eyed and I scratched a lens. I called swaros and I am sending them in tomorrow. I was told a new glass piece would be $75.00 and they will send them back to me in 4 weeks. I can live with that. FYI some places offer 4 payments at 0% interest on glasses. Redman

I know its a bow hunting banquet, but somebody should have told them its opening weekend for rifle javellina, and some fathers (like me) have their sons hunting this weekend. I would have liked to make it. Redman

Like the title of your topic...you are chained to them...you cannot change the hunt choices, the only thing you can change is payment options. Redman

AZcoues, man.... a lifesized lion has to set one back a few$$. The first thing out of my wife mouth was "you have to buy a new house now" talk about getting expensive... I have one other mount..but as smart man that loves to hunt, my reply was "sure" . Redman

Greetings, I finally was able to harvest a deer with my bow. This has been a great January, it started off with a heart breaker, but after hunting all but 4 days this month (going out after work, weekends, and my days off) I finally hit pay dirt. My first shot entered the upper torso angled to hit the spine rendering its rear legs useless. I was able to run to it and put another arrow into it as it was trying to get away. It was getting dark and I was not going to have another heart break. This month has been a blast. I have had a great hunt, traveled to many new areas and have hunted with good friends.... WHAT A GREAT TIME OF YEAR!! Only 335 days to wait! Redman
