Well I havnt been posting many pictures lately as most the time nobody cares about average sheds, but were up to about 100 this season heres a couple pics from the last couple weekends And heres todays good finds, we glassed up a couple more but they turned out just to be small chalks, the lion and the 350 side made the day for sure!Found the lion dead in its den, pretty dang cool! Only the third dead lion I've ever found!

We had glassed up the shed I'm holding in the picture and worked our way around the bowl and trying to relocate it (right under a bluff) we were walking the bluff edge and saw some bones, and well I have ADD when it comes to bones and always check them out incase theres a deadhead, I thought they were coues bones but when we got down there there was about an overhand about 15 feet deep 10 feet wide and two feet tall, and the rest of the bones and skull were in there.

Not far from home, I'll try to make it out and say hey!

I do quite a bit of muzzleloading in Nebraska for deer, I have taken one front on shot and a couple quartering shots, I shoot a 50 cal with hornady sabots and have never had an issue, I push it with 175 grains of powder and blew clean through on all of these shots.

Take a look at the G5 PRIME bow, its a sweet bow if I was upgrading this year that is definitly my pick of the year. The EVO seems hit or miss, I've seen some loud ones and some really quiet ones as well. As for arrows, I shoot Easton FMJ 340's and absolutly love them but you cant go wrong with blue streaks if you want an all carbon arrow, I also shoot the SH SDP and love it, I shot a ripcord for a few months and didnt have any problems with it, however about 8 months ago I switched to the trophy taker SMACKDOWN and love it its a great rest. Not trying to scare you away from the evo but I would shoot some other bows before you make your decision. Hoyt CRX, or a carbon bow, bowtech destroyer and invasion and the G5 Prime would be the bows I would loo at if I were to buy a new bow right now.

Nothing more frusturating that hiking all day to get into the good pockets to find out someone beat you there on a quad, I dont see how it is rewarding at all to find sheds if you ride around on a quad and destroy the environment all day. We just started going to where quads cant go. I've been hearing more and more stories of these guys getting tickets though. And thats music to my ears

When I call I use almost exclusivly a shotgun, with just the front bead, I've killed plenty of dogs at 75 yards, heck once me and casey killed a dog on a stand with our shotguns from atleast 75 and we both only had single beads, dont think that dog thought they wernt accurate. What about you casey? FWIW I shoot an extended super extra full turkey choke and havnt found a gun that patterns as tight past 50 as mine does.

Just put in with my old man for everything except we bought points for general deer.

I have spent a TON of days in the 35's and 36's and will not let the current border issues stop me from hunting in OUR country, however I am more careful I always carry firearms even scouting (even though if you run into the wrong people they probably wont help) and I dont like to be out alone unless its daylight. I have had an issue with an illegal immigrant however I have had many many more days where nothing happens and it is just like hunting further north. I think as long as you are aware of the dangers and go prepared you will be fine. Just remember to be especially careful and you should be fine!

Well, were just waiting for the elk to drop now but keeping them in check and marking the GPS on spots were expecting browns this year, figured I would post some pictures from the day. those are through a Vortex Nomad spotter (cheap but awesome glass) and a cannon digital elph 12.1 MP point and shoot digital camera without any adapter I simply hold the lenses together and take a couple pictures.

You should be good to go! I triple checked mine and had two G&F officers check mine before submitting them, I am also very paranoid about the application system.
