  1. Size and volume mainly, The Krakatoa uses 2x the batteries and weighs significantly more IIRC. I think the Krakatoa uses a slightly larger amp to drive the bigger speaker as well. Fairly similar calls. The Krakatoa is louder, but significantly larger, and I think you would be surprised at how loud a CS24 C or b for that matter is!

  2. I think its a good shoot. That said I think there would have been better options to dealing with the situation. That said its easy to look at the situation when youre not there and critique what he did. It appears evident to me that his intentions were not to provoke the moose. Without hearing his articulation on why he shot there was some process he went through, he didnt shoot on the first charge which leads me to believe this was not his intention. He didn't even have a round chambered. I would be hard pressed to see him convicted of a criminal charge, as long as all the proper steps were taken after the shoot.

  3. Hyper why you trapping out people's back doors? That's what got everyone in trouble over in california. Try and blur out the houses a little better next time. You can still see the trees and grass in the backgriund. Gonna ruin it for all of us if you catch someone's pet.

......Seriously? Theres no palo verde trees in the desert? Or natural green grass this time of year? Must not spend much time in the desert south of Phoenix.

  4. Criminal? Hardly!. Maybe in the eyes of our joke of a legal system. Not disclosing a firearm to an LEO is pretty trivial compared to what they get away with on daily basis. Cops get pissed when you step out of your vehicle during a traffic stop. All you have to do is step out of the vehicle and lock the door. "Am I free to go officer"?

An LEO may demand surrender of a weapon for his/her safety during a traffic stop. Running serial numbers after weapon is surrendered, does not fall under the scope of surrendering that weapon and the purpose therein. Running serial numbers under that pretext ,has been deemed a violation of our constitutional rights in a court of law.

You're right they do, and rightfully so.... And no you're not free to go because you committed a violation of the law or a town code and are under legal seizure, so no you are being detained and cannot leave.

Right, and you implied that you would not tell a LEO about the guns unless they had a "search warrant" I never made any mention about legality of running a wants check on a firearm, so I'm not sure where you're trying to go with that. If you don't like the legal system or ARS the solution is simple.... It involves a U haul truck.

A cop never knows who they're dealing with and people who act as "sovereign citizens" often thinking they are above the law are a reality and unfortunately are often the ones who don't respect a lawful order made in good faith and subject them selves to consequences that follow. They could be a great person with strong morals or they could be a convicted murder that out legal system let free.

  5. Carrying a gun would be irrelevant for that thief. Only a man with a death wish, would draw down on ten cops. No cop is above the law. The whole thing will get glossed over, just like it always does. Cops stick together, and the guy will probably get a promotion out of it.

It is a growing trend in this country, ruled by King Wannabe Obama, where, "Due Process", is failing miserably.

The bullying and intimidation tactics used by any entity, or, authority, is something "We the people" need to stand up too, and crush it before it is too late.

I got pulled over for a traffic violation. The Cop asked me if I had any Guns or illegal substances in my truck. You want to know what's in my truck, get a friggin search warrant. And no.....I will not turn over my gun to allow you to run a serial number check.

One thing a lot of people don't realize is most cops don't care much about your traffic violation, they pull you over with the intention of finding out more about you and what you may have in your automobile and any other possible misdemeanors they can get out of it. A good arrest record is what get's them promoted. I don't have anything against cops, I do despise the system.

Well then you're a criminal, as temporarily surrendering your gun during a stop is mandatory per ARS, as is not stating you have a firearm in your car when asked by law enforcement.

As far as this video goes, when less lethal failed to work and the suspect went to the vehicle he reportedly had a weapon in, as well as failed to obey law enforcement commands, this high risk felony stop turns into a lethal force scenario. As far as hands being in the air at the time the trigger was pulled? Who knows audio often lags behind video (or vice versa) in cell phone videos which is why you cannot base your opinion solely off the video, the officer also has a different point of view than the camera does so who knows what he was seeing when he decided to pull the trigger.

In my eyes I see this as a good shoot. Who knows what the legal system will do but I suspect the criminal courts will agree, the civil court may see otherwise as they often do.

Hats off to everyone who puts their life on the line every day for a less than great salary. It's easy for people who have never done the job to critique someones actions and my opinion is if they want policing done differently then maybe they need to consider becoming a cop themselves so they can be part of this "change" they want.

Why would the suspect report that he had a gun in the vehicle and that the cops would have to kill him if he didn't intend on dying that day?

  6. I have a stone glacier terminus if you want to see it shoot me a PM, I went through the kifaru stage and there isnt any doubt theyre awesome packs, although I decided the stone glacier was the pack to buy after trying both of them, the weight savings is phenomenal

  7. Hey guys, as the title says, I'm looking to buy a couple pounds of H1000, a couple pounds of RETUMBO, a long pelican case (minimum of 50" inside width), and a wind meter, I'm not real picky on brand but would like something that does barometric pressure as well. Let me know what you have, I'm located in Tucson. (I have cash, or lots of 9mm factory ammo and .44 Mag factory ammo I can trade if preferred)

EDITED TO ADD: Also looking for a high quality cooler-canyon, yeti, or similar large size (75-200 QTS)

  8. Johnnie, yup.... it will be an extremely tough hunt, very few bears and low activity that time of year. I've spent a ton of time in that unit and will continue to do so. Its always been a goal of mine to kill a bear in 33... I'm not sure how doable it will be especially on the early hunt but I'm sure gonna try! Pela.... you have to put in for the tag there were 5 rifle hunts and 10 archery hunts in 33 this year, you could be looking in the wrong place.

CWpredator.... there is a rifle hunt this year (8002)

  9. Its not 2x4 suitable unless youre willing to treat your truck pretty bad. I spend a fair amount of time in there and I wont even drive my lifted fullsize with lockers back there.. I just bring my quad. You could probably make it if it stayed dry and you have good clearance and know how to wheel, depending on how far you wanted to go, but even through the catalina side after the power plant the road gets pretty sketchy.
