Did he draw a tag?  They went to a draw system and just had a friend send me a screen shot of the transaction for 2024.  So unless he drew a tag he will have to wait until the following year to put in.

no he didn't but he wanted info about how to buy a tag, i didn't know they went to a draw, he hunted there the late elk hunt in the malay gap and coues in january a few years ago.

Thank you i will let him know.

Would like info on your experience if any. I want a XL size sleeping bag but don't want one that's  rated only at 0 degrees or it seems they only sell the larger ones rated for ridiculous cold weather (-20) and you sweat your butt off. I know they are expensive but the all weather one seems to offer a lot of versatility. Thanks for any insight.

did you check the kodiak canvas sleeping bags, i'm going to buy one and they look very comfortable.

GSPs are far from "ain't trainable" and in my opinion being "obsessed" with birds is a good thing considering he's a bird dog. Sounds like a good dog to me.

Good luck with finding him a good home.

You are right, very easy to train, super smart dogs, yes they have a big drive and they get into that zone but easy to train.

Amazing.. It really sounds like the lady I dealt with missed ALL of the training classes for the new system. Curious, did you purchase it on line or at a GnF office?

i got the license online but the tag at the office, i don't think you can buy the tag thru the app, if she told you that i think she was wrong.

I stopped by the Carefree office to get my pile of 2023 OTC tags two weeks ago. I was told by a very confident older lady that I could buy all my OTC through the app. and she had hoped I hadn't driven all the way up there just to get the tags. I again asked specifically about the OTC elk and Javi tags and she again repeated, "no need to come into a GnF office any more, ALL OTC tags could be purchased through the app." So I didn't buy the 2022 elk or pig tags. I could find nowhere in the app where I could purchase them and in fact, info in the app says OTC tags still need to be purchased at GnF offices.

I had already opted in to the e-tag program so even though I purchased my tags at a GnF office, I walked away with my 2023 License and just a receipt for the other tags.

Another goofy new quirk, for the last 10 years I have purchased my license to run from Jan 1 through Dec 31...  Cant do that now.  For some silly /stupid reason, the system says you HAVE to make the start date this year so my license is only good from Dec 31 2022 through Dec 30, 2023. So in the field next year, my license won't be valid on the last day of the year..

So I have paper piggy tags and an app with some other tags.

Another thing to keep in mind, the app states that it is the hunters responsibility to make sure their phone is charged so you can show your tag to GnF in the field if they check you.

i just got my license and did from january 1st to 31st 2023.

Did you have to go to a dept office to get the otc deer tag for it to be an e-tag?

i think you have to go to a dept office, i don't believe any other place have the equipment to issue an e-tag.

  7. For sale is a Chiappa firearms Rhino 30DS in 357 mag also shoots 38 special, shot 2 times maybe 30 rounds thru

this is the description that i found:

    Series/Collection: Rhino 30DS SAR

    Action: Single

    Caliber/Gauge: 357 Magnum

    Capacity: 6

Sight: Fixed Red Fiber Optic Front, Adjustable Elevation and Windage Green Fiber Optic Rear

    Safety: Internal

    Grip Type: Black Rubber

    Barrel Material: Steel

Frame Material: 7075 T6 Aluminum Alloy

    Barrel Finish: Black

    Frame Finish: Anodized Black

    Barrel Length: 3"

    Overall Length: 7-1/2"

    Weight: 1.7 lb

    Cylinder Material: Steel

    Cylinder Finish: Blue

The Rhino revolver is now offered in a single action only version specifically legal for sale in California. (SAR - single action Rhino) The Rhino revolver design features a lower bore axis compared to other revolvers. This means the barrel is directly in line with the shooters hand, wrist and arm. This results in almost no muzzle rise and, because energy is better absorbed and controlled by the entire arm, it reduces the amount of recoil felt by the shooter. In addition, the alignment also gives the shooter a more natural point of aim. Shoot it and feel the difference.

    Selling for $ 950.00
