sorry - but to post "Without going into a 400-page novel here because now it’s all a moot point" it's not mute ! it's not dead! "Many of the people opposed to auction tags are either philosophically opposed and/or just not willing to forego one tag if it means their odds of drawing a tag are affected in any way." one tag ??? I like the "we made the decision " --without asking or informing the people/organizations whom they were suppose to represent To be silent all this time and post this on another site for another state instead of here??!! i do not see outdoors adventures listed as partnered with elk hunter mag. On the road to Alamo- I had stopped to get relief from a few beers and saw something interesting - a skeleton of a KIT fox caught/wedged in the center of a huge Joshua tree. I really had to look twice to see that it was a fox!

elkaholic replied to Curtis Reed's topic in Political Discussions related to hunting
the bottom line - whom ever it is - we need 1- singular candidate - we can't afford to have a split party vote thats the only way we can beat obummer - ONE guy for president -

I've been to couple ADA banquets and always had a great time - i was able to go as a guest- a donated VA ticket - thanks to AMANDA and others. They do raise a lot of money for Arizona and the wildlife here - the ADA just needs to decide where it is best spent from now on!. I'd love to attend but wouldn't have big $$$ to spend anyway - hope the governors tags bring in top dollar - we know where that money will go!! I hope everyone attending has a great- awesume time!! Steve - thoughts and prayers to you and your family at this time - during your family medical emergency!
-
BINGO !! --- we have a winner - this same person is said to run up bids to help wildlfife and guess he could afford to "BUY" a few tags to help - REPAY those special people who made it possible for the rich guys to have a- "basically" unlimited supply of hunts each year for whatever species they want . rewrite the G&F laws so that these special tags/hunts aren't limited to the "one species per yr LAW! As for whom is responsable - we have named the BIG FOUR- guess make it 5 when you add the team effort (husband, wife) it's no secret - as for those behind the stall door - we know who they are too- the others whom would be on the list of beneficiaries of money and the advertizement etc. they will not go silent into the night - but you can bet a dollar they will agin try to backstab - behind closed doors - last minute legislation to gain their goal - oops control! CONTROL GREED POWER the CPG org will be looking for anyway they can to succeed! we know who some of the KEY players are - but weiers and boys do have freinds!!
-
kinda like our voting - to be quite honest - your and my vote really mean nothing - if the officials on the baords- /directors have the final say - you have to change the board - the greenies learned this yrs ago and now they sit in the positions of POWER. same with azsfw they have weaseled and used thier 5 -6 yrs to get into position to complete thier goal - CONTROL!!

send her to a fur padded cell

I wasn't able to get to the meeting last night- heard it was a good turn out but after Amandas statement - I'm scratching my head I thought this was a special meeting to decide this issue not prolong it! "Many on the board felt it was very important to reach out to our membership and ask for their input. So we will be doing that by email immediately. We will take that input, along with input from last night to help guide us in our decision about whether or not to support AZSFW in the future." Why wasn't this accomplished before the meeting -?? I think I asked why the special meeting was needed when members could be emailed for their opinion- like over a week ago! A strong worded letter ???? right back to where we were before the meeting! so now it'll have to wait till the next regular meeting !? In the mean time azsfw pushs another try around the outside in the late hours to stick us agin - pete - john - ed - art are smilin - to name afew and all the rest of guys at azsfw Way to step up and show us what we can expect from the ADA! still walking the fence!
-
Same crap trying to pass the buck - it wasn't me - bunch of your are as guilty as the rest - why wait this long - why wait a month - where were you when BPJ was doing all the talking for you and azsfw - what a joke another insulting letter - thinking we do not know what is good for Arizona wildlife but they do! Still dwelling on the past - we did this for you. yes some good things were accomplished - till ya got greedy! now lets rethink and work together - is the pain still in your back ?? sorry about that -guess it just skidded off the ribs a bit - you moved -- no real harm done!
-
why not call coconino national forset ranger station - they should be able to tell you - but i do think they close it in winter - to save rd damage
-

maybe I spoke to soon on the ISE in reguards to wildlife tag auctions it's contagiuos - people get the bug in the ear about how an event with hunting tags for auction - draw the big crowds and $$$$$$$ to bid on big hunting tags Phoenix 12th Annual Sportsmens Expo to Host First-Ever Gathering of the Tribes and Hunting the Rez Auction February 16, 2012 Glendale, AZ…Hunters and outdoor-sports enthusiasts will have a chance to bid on art pieces and hunting and fishing packagessome fetching perhaps six figuresat the First Annual Indian Country Big Game Auction. Showcasing big-game hunting and fishing opportunities available on U.S. and Canadian Indian Reservations, the auction will be conducted during the Phoenix International Sportsmens Exposition, which runs February 23-26 at the University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale. Coordinated by Hunting The Rez Magazine, the auction will take place on Friday, February 24, from 3p-6p on the shows main Adventure Theater stage. Auction items are listed online: http://bid.huntingtherez.com/auction.aspx?as=22110 ISE Phoenix will also feature the first-ever Hunting The Rez Pavilion, in which the following North American tribes willspotlight their outdoor opportunities: Blackfeet Nation, Browning, MT Blood Reserve, Stand Off Alberta, Canada Chippewa Cree, Rocky Boy, MT Gros Ventre Assiniboine, Fort Belknap, MT Hualape Game & Fish Dept., Peach Springs, AZ Jicarilla Game & Fish Dept., Dulce, NM Lower Brule Sioux Tribe, Lower Brule, SD Mandan Hidatsu Arikara (MHA Nation/Three Affiliated Tribes), New Town, ND Pueblo of Acoma, Acoma, NM Pueblo of Zuni, Zuni, NM Quinault Nation, Taholah, WA San Carlos Apache Recreation, San Carlos, AZ White Mountain Apache Tribe, Whiteriver, AZ Jason Belcourt, co-founder and editor of Hunting The Rez Magazine, commented: Indian country offers vast hunting and fishing opportunities and this auction is a way to showcase whats available to a very large audience of sports enthusiasts. Other expos have featured auctions, but Hunting The Rezs event is the first where all of the hunting and fishing packages up for bid are exclusively from Indian reservations, said Belcourt. Tribes and tribal outfitting businesses will be able to meet with anglers and big-game hunters who may have never hunted or fished on Indian Reservations. Another motivation for this special event, says Belcourt, is the amount of misinformation in the hunting community. Each Tribe has its own laws and regulations for hunting and fishing on their property. Many of the tribes are in the early stages of developing their fish-and-game departments. This auction and the HTR Pavilion is a way to educate the market about what hunting and fishing is available today in Indian Country. About International Sportsmens Exposition The International Sportsmens Exposition is Arizonas largest, most-diverse gathering of fishing, hunting and outdoor products and destinations all year, said John Kirk, ISEs Director of Communications. With hundreds of exhibiting companies, free seminars throughout the day every day, free parking, giant Youth Fair plus free entry for youth under 16 and active military, the ISE is also a tremendous family value.
