HB 2072 Sale of big game tags

bj-as long as you want to answer questions -- i know its dead !but these things didnt bother you? - explain this please - someone buys as many tags as they want and shoot what they want each year and still able to apply in the general hunt so they just rewrite the articles of g&f to make sure the big boys can have a real good time -- All tags shall be exempt from the bag limit established from time to time by the commission with the limitation that the qualifying organization shall not issue more than one permit or tag per species per year to an individual except for auction permits or tags. Mule deer and whitetail deer are treated as separate species. or this - nothing stated so a checks and balance system is installed as to who monitors how much $$$ is actually raised - where it is spent - he qualified organization shall first apply the proceeds from the resale by auction and raffle of the rights to tags to cover all costs associated with the annual sportsmen exposition in this state and any county chapter banquets at which rights to tags are auctioned or raffled. The qualified organization shall apply the remaining proceeds from the resale by auction and raffle of the rights to tags in this state for programs to achieve any of the following purposes, including the qualified organization's costs of administration: oh yeah real assuring- The money will not be going into the general fund. The revenue will be paid directly to the AZSFWC and therefore no state agency can touch the money.

HB 2072 Sale of big game tags

to the AZSFW and the AZSFWC- members when you are a member of a group- kinda sad if you are an innocent party to this bill and get grouped for the blame - especially when who ever orchestrated this bill has stood quietly and won't take the responsability. we do not know who knew in advance about all the details - some knew of its idea we've seen only one spokes person that has been defending the actions of the group i doubt we'll ever know- some of you as members may never know but to stand and say I had no part and i do not like this either -and i knew nothing about it - means you've broken the trust of the group as a whole and you may not be welcome anymore -so to say nothing means you get blamed as if you knew bpj did actually state (in part) the presentation of the bill was fatally flawed It's done now - only time will tell the good or the bad . Later guys and gals -

I stated he needs a wake up call -if my comments single out weiers - well his name is on the bill Jerry Weiers is the ONLY legislator who we have been successful working with. As an avid outdoorsman, he tries his best to see the positive aspects of anything that is presented to him. He asks intelligent questions and he viewed the current bill as 300 raffle tags for everyman and 50 auction tags that would pay for access, education, our lobbyist and youth programs. BUT... those are great points - ok - I agree with you- BUT- the negatives out weigh the positives in this bill which have been pointed out in numerous responces -- John - do you see the negatives in this bill as it was presented and how it was handled? why are you speaking for him - isn't it possible for him to address us here?

but Bill - Shouldn't have Weiers actually have read it ! before he sponsored it and sent it to a meeting where is brother was the chairman ? As an educated legislataor - and sportsman - if he could not see this bill was B.S. -- he needs a wake up call and start paying attention or do they just say ok sounds like good idea - i'll sponor it.

HB 2072 Sale of big game tags

hey BPJ - when you are speaking in support of ADA and the good things say so - it is kinda confusing on some of your answers ! Since you are the only member of azswf speaking - wonder why - you have been avoiding the real questions that most of the sportsmen want answered - so take a break and get one of the big boys to clue us in - why they tried to backdoor /railroad this bill 2072 past the legislators without anyone knowing about it or imput from all the other wildlife support groups including g&F or do you need to wait till you all can get together and try to weasel out of what most of us see as B>S>

HB 2072 Sale of big game tags

Just curious how the AZSFW has made a penny in the past 6 years of existence... I know you have not paid a dime... nor have all the other "experts" who are chiming in. The real truth is that several very dedicated sportsmen who do have deep pockets put together this organization.... And paid for it out of their own pockets. No one on the board makes a penny, never has... Statements that charge otherwise are blatantly false. do you have an answer for the first 5 questions ??

HB 2072 Sale of big game tags

one last comment - i liked this guys responce :: Why was this all being discussed behind closed doors? I'd like to see where AZSFW actually asked their membership if they supported this crap or not? Did AZSFW ask the hunters in AZ what they think of the bill? Why wasnt the AZG&F asked? How about the commission? This group has taken corruption to all new levels and its more than obvious, as usual, that AZSFW doesnt really care what Arizona Hunters think. SFW acts in the best interest of making money for themselves, period. No accountability, no open books, nothing....just want more and this was by getting tags to peddle to the wealthy. Business as usual at SFW Inc.

HB 2072 Sale of big game tags

ok - given azsfw has done great things in the "past" why are they presently trying pawn this B>S> bill 2072 off as being beneficial to anyone other than themselves - the only group who will control the tags and the money? want all expenses paid in full before anyone else sees a penny and try to change the rules - only one animal per calender yr. - left out anything written to safeguard / watch over to see things are handled correctly/honestly. who ever wrote this wasn't thinking of the good of Arizona but for themselves(azsfw) first the worse is no imput from any organization and railroad this past the legislators now when they see its not gonna work - oh wait we can discuss this it's so obvious

HB 2072 Sale of big game tags

they are basically flooding the market with all these tags - the mule deer tag brought in over $200,000 at an ADA banquet one yr . the elk over 120.000 aes banquet - what do you think the aes tag will be worth if --2 more auction govenors tags - plus auction legislator tags-- At least ten tags, and at least one tag for each hunt area, for bull elk in hunt areas or the ada muledeer tag - if 2 more auction govenors tag and several more legislator tags-One tag for mule deer for each hunt area that offers a general season hunt and is located north of the Colorado river. who's to say the same guy doesnt buy all of them !? we all know whos pretty much cornered the market on these type tags!

I think the message most arizona sportsmen/women want to hear is the bill is killed -- not on hold!

HB 2072 Sale of big game tags

how many governors tags do we have now ? each organization has 1 per species We know what kind of revenue they bring to the wildlife here in Arizona !! WHAT will they be worth if this goes thru!??? I do not see how they will continue to generate what they do now, if a sportsman can spend the $$$ else where and get a cheaper tag they bring the big $$$ because they are one of a kind!!!

HB 2072 Sale of big game tags

the way i read it-- we all want to help the wildlife and the organizations who work for the better of Arizona the way the bill is worded is whats wrong - the SFW would have total control over all govenor type tags. they want to first use the proceeds from auctions/raffles to pay for all expenses. they want to put on a NEW expo for the raffles/auctions sales -all expenses paid - they want to put on state wide banquets - all expenses paid - they want to have all organizing administrative expenses paid - they will be the ones to say who and how much will be given ---IF anything is left over - IF -! They are trying to sneek this in ASAP- because they know the majority of -ARIZONA sportsmen - will tell you this is B.S. call - email your legislative rep- TODAY -- tomorrow is too late http://www.azleg.gov/MemberRoster.asp
