Chris - the only thing I see that might make that an immature spike elk is the two real rusty patchs right below the ears - next yr this elk would/might grow antlers that is not a mature cow elk!

It's just one of those "TOM BOY" cows getting tired of mewing and fightin with just the girls - it's the only way they might be able to get in on the action

It's easy enough to google buffalo rutting/ mating calls / sounds Since these are probably the only sounds a mature bull usually makes - why not give it a try easy to make a bellow tube - like for moose and practice their - roar/grunt type sound - it's fairly easy to imitate

+1 on Amanda's commitment and dedication to provide a free evening of socializing with other CWT members at this years SCI banquet to active military and veterans . This was my first time at SCI banquet - they did a great job - they had a handle on the few so called "protestors" though no one came away with any prizes, - but we were all winners .! worked 38 yrs running heavy equipment - basically building Phoenix - highways bridges - freeways housing projects etc. I quit and do not miss it one bit!

I should still be able to make the banquet First off, I am or will be okay. I had a terrible accident today, but I am doing better now. I decided to go horseback riding, which I haven't done in a long time . Well, I got on the horse and started out slow, and then we went a little faster, and then we were going as fast as the horse could go. All of a sudden I fell off and caught my foot in the stirrup and the horse was dragging me around in a circle. It wouldn't stop, it just kept going around and around. Thank goodness the store manager at K-Mart came out and unplugged the carousel
