to bad you can't do the blue dye like they show on TV when a thief opens the money bags - if they open the camera - it spays a permanent blue dye on them everywhere if set on private land be nice to set a few - cheap- perimeter cams to catch these CRIMINALS wouldn't that also be trespassing!?

my thoughts are always - kinda jokin? how many tickets did he buy not uncommon for guys to spend 100- 300- 500 on raffle tickets at these banquets ! Glad you won a primo item - they are one the best sleeping bags figurin your just trying to break even - lol I'd take serious thought to the 350

Caring for game in the field
elkaholic replied to Matt Meyer's topic in Small Game, Upland Bird, and Waterfowl Hunting
Hate the smell of dead quail guts after it fermented in a vest for several hrs . it doesn't do the meat any favors either I usually take a minute or 2 between chasing coves to use a pronged fish hook twig to poke up and twist to remove the guts/ intestines then- i'll expose the breast meat and carefully wrap the wings closed around the meat - this will prevent the awful smell later and helps cooling down the meat / bird I've since made a few hooks to use instead of a twig - I made them out of and old plumbers fishing tape I did break down and bought a pocket knife with a bird hook - wlll have to see how it works in the coming season -
its open door - all are welcome

since you have Horses - some of the coolest areas you'll find will be in and around the Pine Wilderness area - not sure how easy it is to get a horse trailer in there as it's been a few yrs .

I'm not a "trophy" hunter - My thinking and mind set on which deer to take a shot at - is - I'll know - " this is the deer I want " passing on deer has never been a problem for me and it really shouldn't be a problem for anyone you'll know when you see him -- it doesn't have to be a 100+ buck Putting you tag on him is a whole different challenge Like stated above - Have fun
-
go to the photo gallery and see what a lot of deer already taken look like if your after a certain score like 100 + - it might turn out to be a tougher than normal hunt Good luck and welcome to the CWT

I'm just basically asking a simple question who gets the money!?? G&F and the wildlife center will be present and a lot of othe vendors paying to have a booth - great - a local radio station is hosting hosting the event ? If it is an Arizona expo - does any of the money go to help Arizona or our wildlife or does it go in someones pocket like they always do except for the one G&F puts on at Ben Avery

mixed feelings - it still doesn't even show that I have a hunting license - even though i've purchase a lion tag from the office with my license and they posted unsuccessful applications for elk and antelope . and they have no problem taking application fees associated with my license. I really do not use it for anything!

40th Annual AzSCI Banquet in Tucson July 11th.

So nice to see and hear that different organizations are putting on great Events and Banquets to help our wildlife here in Arizona A big THANKS for Amanda to make it possible for Veterans to participate . Sounds like everyone had a great time -
taking your time and worrying about having the right form will usually end up a bouncing rear disappearing. practicing a steady quick release - I try to shoot from different angles and different distances each shot . it does no good to stand in one spot and fling arrows all day move around - lay your bow down and try to mimic a deer sighting and a quick draw/aim and smooth release sit in a chair - shoot from a kneeling position - walk around a corner - anything to change up each time you shoot shoot one inch groups at a known distance doesn't come close to whats going to happen out hunting if it was as easy as take your time aiming and making sure your form is correct for each shot -- we'd all be killin machines holding a draw for an extended period of time is good practice too. that's not to say that having the skills to be confident in your abilities and practice doesn't make for a better hunter - it does it happens every year a skilled - accomplished range / even expert shooter will miss a standing animal at less than 30 yrds - everything changes when that animal shows up!

do not worry you can depend on the G&F to complete the draw according to their rules REMINDER: Online applicants must update credit card information by Thursday July 8, 2015 Account must be in good standing to avoid application being rejected remember the last several draws where they spend days trying to contact people-- to tell them there is a problem with their card and want to see if they want to charge it to a different card
