the majority of the bigger bulls from unit 10 are most likely off the BO not necessarily from less pressure from hunters but the remoteness of the areas these bigger bulls tend to call home . It's time and knowledge of these areas that helps tag holders get onto these bigger bulls - which equates to guided hunts as most people do not have the time to spend scouting. Even worse now with the limitations placed on the BO by the new "owners" the farther North you get in unit 10 the harder the access thus the bigger the bulls good luck to all the tag holders

I made a donation - every little bit helps -
why bother - I got a 2013 and have no intention of using flex - fuel -- averaging 18+ on my 5.3 on regular

The $500 offer to apply online is cool to get people to apply earlier than the deadline thus avoiding the traditional crash/ pile up we've had for the past several years. wouldn't it be a lot nicer if there were 5 -- $100 dollar winners I'd rather have 5 chances at $100 than 1 chance at $500 - just me

I'd say buy a few for me but " I never win anything " lol remember me saying that - lol can't make it but good luck on all the raffles and have a great time everyone.

ok guess I'm out of the loop on --- FAIL - equivalent to gun safety - equals morons handling guns
-
what failed - that the moron underestimated the power of .500 nitro in a pistol - gun didn't fail - it fire the round safely - no damage to the gun . just a moron thinking he could hold it !! seen the same thing with the .45-70 round shot out of a Thompson - split a guys face open when the front sight wacked him .

I'm sure its much easier for people whom live where elk are in there back yards and don't have to travel 100-200-400 miles back and forth . It's easy to use a tank of gas with all the driving around included. some have access to areas others can't go - private land - reservations etc. I feel lucky if I can get 3-4 a yr. if I can get that many a trip I'm a happy shed hunter. the fact that these "quad hunters" are driving everywhere they are not suppose to go is B.S. but even when confronted you get the flip -off and away they go , they will end up ruining it for all. Just enjoy your time in the woods and any sheds are a bonus!

In Az don't think MTN. think canyons

I couldn't believe it - doing some things online - I get bit not once but twice in less than a minute sitting at computer in spare room . just minutes ago WHAT THE HECK IS GOING ON It's way to early in the yr. we've had no rain I was like no way it sucks when you have to put on lotion in the house . Any home remedies to get rid of these pests or stop the itch I thought I saw the culprit but this thing was faster than a fly and teennie tiny

I normally prefer a phone - mainly because I never know if its a secure site when I go to check out - so hard to tell anymore I use to see a lock or something showing or at least telling you its secure

By the time Az hunters actually get to hunt turkeys - 90% of the hens will be nesting already - Toms will still be active but not as much gobbling like what has been going on for almost 2-3 weeks now that doesn't mean you won't get "lucky" but the big groups you've been seeing all summer are dispersed finding and hunting roosts ups your chances of filling a tag
-
welcome to CWT In my opinion 21 may be the hardest of units to hunt for elk in Arizona - like you stated coues country. some of the best areas to find elk will be in the cedar bench wilderness and the pine wilderness neither are considered easy access Good luck getting up on squaw peak look out in the north part of the unit will allow you a chance to glass a lot of country
-
drive around during archery season and find the camps ,then follow those guys to the bugling bulls so you can pick the one you want for later !
-
looks different to me -- first one has distinct claw fronts
-
turkeys can have numerous roosts and no way of knowing which one they will use- they can easily travel a mile or more in any given day but tend to stay in a general area as long as they have food and water

anybody out there shot a .54

predator your pm is full - lol

"I hike the soles off my shoes "- that's your problem right there - everyone who will give you information on hunting whitetails - 3 very important words GLASS GLASS GLASS get ahead of the crowds and sit and wait for them to push the deer to you!!! how can you hike your soles off and glass all day ??

The only program which will help more hunters get drawn - That's what we all want is an elk tag - by rotating the numbers - that means a waiting period 1 yr 2 yr even 3 yrs - after you successfully draw a tag. G&F would lose no $$$$ if they allow the successful tag holders to apply for bonus points while they wait 2 yrs or even 3 yrs G&F still gets their money - different people will actually draw a tag and those who wait will start their next draw with 4-5 points if you add loyalty and hunter ed. this will also help those whom like to hunt out of state to make plans If they can do this one thing - I'll be impressed and quit be - itchin I've waited 5 even 10 yrs to get a tag but with a new system - I might actually get 3 or 4 more tags while I can still hunt
-
well here in Az we have to wait for spring turkey - wait till all the Toms have had time to breed the hens - that's the official report

a few yrs back - in unit 10 one of the local ranchers whom has grazing rights in several portions of unit 10 spent several months with a big loader digging out all the tanks - a lot where filled up by natural flow of dirt/debris over the last 20+ yrs. cows were getting stuck in the mud when water was low - It was a dry yr and I know he dug them out 15 to 20 ft deep . so chances are if you see tanks with large berms - they are deep . Most of them this last 2-3 summers never dried up.- with any kind of precipitation there should be water in most tanks . bring your own posts for cameras - surrounding trees are already full of them

Guess I'm going to have to do something I rather not - cable off my access to my property. Up until now I've had no problems - I pretty much have a camera out year round, to catch pictures of anything coming crossing the hillside saddle . Luckily I have photos of deer - elk - fox-coyotes - bobcats -mtn. lion and a skunk - I don't count jackrabbits and the occasion neighbors dog and a few cattle I was not happy to find these photos - of someone driving up my POSTED KEEP OUT _ PRIVATE PROERTY which has very clear and obvious signs both sides- at the beginning of the 2 tract road at the base of the hill- just off the main road For whatever reason I guess he thought it was ok to access my land and drive over 1/4 mile up hill to the saddle - and then turn around for obvious reasons . my 2 tract isn't on any maps and you'd have to follow my tracts to even find it Time to cable - lock off my road . also really surprised that this camera which usually takes 100rds of unwanted pictures only captured these 2 - 15 minutes apart -- when its set to go off every minute ?? I know its a long shot but anyone recognize the picture of this guy or the vechile doesn't look like a hunter but he had no business being where he was

perfect to leave and guard your spot this year for elk or deer
