This is actually a really good point, I'm in this boat this year. Took work off to hunt opening day through Sunday (10 days) and would have been better off taking the last week of the hunt off. I've had this hunt 3 times in the past 13 years and never had an issue... Is there an intelligent way to anticipate what part of the hunt will be better if you cannot hunt the entire duration?

How late will they call from the roost in the evening, I seem to only have luck for the first 30-45 mins usually.

We're in the same boat with the snow, except maybe 8-10". Quick Google search says they may stay in the roost and behave more sluggish, we didn't hear a gobble today.

Question, do you let other critters go without being shot if waiting for a lion (coyotes, fox, bobcats, etc...), assuming yes. That would be hard for me to do

Thanks, I'm used to garter snakes having a stripe going down their body. When I tried to pick him up he wouldn't stop striking lol, also not used to that from other garter snakes I've messed with.

Hi, this thread has got me curious. My 12 year old is obsessed with fishing in general right now and we have several trips already planned to San Diego in August and October (not fishing related). I've never been fishing outside of Arizona, any recommendations on a kid friendly half day trip out of San Diego? Success/action is probably more important than type of fish. What should I expect something like this to cost? Lastly, do the charters take care of tackle, licenses, etc...? Thanks

This is a common issue, you can try removing with a reverse drill bit. Mine didn't work but I got an aftermarket antenna that stayed on for a while. Eventually it fell out though, dealer wants a lot to fix it, basically I don't listen to radio much anymore, just stream from my phone. Research on tundras.com may help, good luck.
