Love my Atlas… make sure to buy the quick release one. You can use it with multiple rifles. Just thought I would save you from buying multiple ones in the future...

I know you are looking at Vortex scopes but another company to look at is Valdada.com Great scope I love mine. Just something you may have not of thought off or know about since they are not real popular in the US. Nothing wrong with Vortex. Just so everyone knows I like them as well.

I was lucky enough after 7 bonus points to finally receive a Dec rut hunt in unit 36C. I was just curious to see what your thoughts were on dates to hunt. I am only able to take off 4 days from work to hunt, so I was wanting to pick obviously the four best days of the season. It looks like the best time for me to go date wise is the day after Christmas however the moon is not in my favor that week? The Moon is looking real nice the week of Dec 12-16? Any suggestions or past history would be of some help. Thanks in advance...

Thanks for all your responses. I figured those we would be the best days to go. Its been so long since I drew a Dec tag, I usually go in November with a left over tag. I am the first to say I am not a trophy hunter I just love the meat. I know putting in the time is where you will find and harvest a mature Buck however this year I am unable to take off the time needed to hunt these beautiful animals. Just my luck when I get 3 weeks to hunt and I can only hunt 4 days…

No problem, I took both my boys to the Archery Club to see which bow they liked the best. They tried all of them and both Chose the Hoyt. I guess not like father like son because I shoot a Mathews LOL…

Buy him a Hoyt Ruckus. Great bow, both my boys shoot it and the best part is that it will grow with them. One of my sons is LH and the other is RH. You may be able to find one on craigslist. Hope this helps.

Atlas Bipod BT10-LW17 Bipod 1913, Make sure you buy the detachable one and it will be able to go on all your rifles. All you need to install is a Atlas Bipod Flush Cup 1913 on the bottom of each stock. Hope this helps.
