I had this same problem with a new-build years ago had the chamber polished and the problem went away

Sir Royal, I never used the scope on this rifle or shot sabots through it which is what they are designed to shoot. I bought it for a one time hunt in Colorado for elk and decided I didn't what to pursue muzzy any further. When I have time to practice my shooting skills I'm sticking with centerfire these day's. The best groups I personally got out of this rifle were 2-3 inches at 100 yards using the peep sight you see in the pictures that is currently mounted on it.

Painfull way to make a livin

My trail camera finally bit the dust and I would like to get a replacement that will fit in the box...or...does anyone have any interest in the box and I will find something else. I know these are older models, maybe someone has one laying around that they don't use because they upgraded? PM me if interested.

I like Huntin Fool, there is some great info there and you can talk to their consultants whenever you have questions. They are not perfect but a great place to get a lot of condensed info to at least give you a starting point on decision making

This is along the lines of what is the best caliber, you are going to get a lot of answers. I personally think the Leopold mark 4 are decent
