That is the hardest part of having these fantastic creatures in our lives. I'm sorry for your loss.

Scouting a new area this early is generally getting a good lay of the land. Learning the roads, canyons, meadows, water, etc. Then look at the map / google earth and find new areas to look at the next trip. Repeat as often as you can. By the time the hunt rolls around you will have a pretty good idea. I love learning new areas.

Over engineering. A simple old fashioned folding metal chair with a toilet seat mounted. Dig a hole, place seat, enjoy.

I'm at 32st and Thunderbird, almost the hardest hit which was 40th and Greenway. Big trees down all over the place. It was AWESOME, except for those with damage... sorry.

That is awesome! Great work.

I was up scouting Saturday and there are controlled burn signs out. On another note... every place we checked had a ton of Elk sign. Whoop whoop.

All the rock crawlers I know are very careful. They only go on known trails and clean up after themselves. They also do community work as mentioned above.

I thought the verizon version used a slightly different operating system. For instance with Verizon you can't use the phone for talking and also use the map at the same time. So while you can use the phone with either carrier, it does matter who the phone was initially made for. Just FYI.

That's the Sunflower mine, AKA National Mine. Lost to the Sunflower fire. Sad to see it go. Thanks for the images.

That's a private pond owned by some baseball players. It does have HUGE Bass, but also HUGE fines if your caught fishing it. They patrol the lake on a regular basis. I used to have contact info for the lake, but no longer do. I fished it one time with the owner. It sucked that day, but I did see the largest Bluegill I've ever seen. Adam There might be holes in that fence. I have lunch there and see a few who fish it.

You know that's not Palin... Right?

Dang peeps. This is a GREAT shooting bow. Just FYI. One that Mathews nailed for near perfection if you are not all wound up on the "latest". Free bump

Tri Tronics. Simple, reliable, well built. I've seen my sons fancy GPS system go bonkers. The Tri Tronics system is like the energizer bunny. Even the dog trainer I use, who makes a living with these things, uses a simple Tri tronics system.

I appreciate what the ranchers do, I don't appreciate the mind set that they own the land they lease.

That's a very straight forward ride. Apache trail will be a tourist nightmare however. Hopefully it will be a nice quite day. Enjoy.

The rule is 1/4 mile

You should enjoy the catch you have in Hawaii. Fishing better waters can come later. Snorkel, scooter, hike, beach walk, wine / cheese and bread at sunsets for you my friend. Your welcome.

A ladies car was stolen, the cops were called immediately. 30 minutes or so goes by and the cops show up. When she complained about the response time the cop told her "Why rush here, your car is gone. We were searching a perimeter to find your car." Not saying your situation was right.

Those setups look like they would get heavy while hunting. Are these 3D / target setups, or actual hunting setups?

Game and Fish sting? That would be awesome.

During a boy scout camp out when I was one of the leaders, the leaders camped separate from the boys. While settling in around the campfire I noticed "hippy spinach" growing right where we spend several hours setting up. When I pointed to it and laughed, half the leaders laughed and the other half had no clue. That was funny stuff.
