I'm not really much of a ASU hater (unless ASU fans start talking crap) but I really don't think they get in. I hope they do cause it will be good for the PAC12 bit I don't see it. Not too many people give the PAC credit. So it would be cool if they got in and beat some teams. It would look really bad to get in and lose.

08-11 were the worst i believe. I know GM was sending us free camshafts and lifters to repair our trucks. But like i said they are used and abused. Oil changes ever 12K, new filters and top offs ever 4K in between. i dont think it is a huge issue at all.

So would you guys steer clear of it if it has the ticking? Is this the same ticking I mentioned to look out for on the top end? yes, because i would be annoyed and wouldnt want to fix it haha. but i am talking about cam bearing noise, not valve train noise. i can deal with noisy valve trains.

oh yeah i didnt mention interior problems because thats just a given lol. dont worry, GM still hasnt fixed the fuel pump problems (15, 16, and 17s). Once they hit 45K the fuel pump goes out. The new direct injection engines have their own little problems as well. But like mentioned, if it looks like it was taken cared of you should be good. be careful buying used, i find a lot of people wont tell you the history and just want to flip them. if its a great deal i would be worried.

The list is long! Haha just kidding. They are pretty good. Some common things are motor mounts, cam bearings (ticking noise), fuel pumps and connector, rear fuel tank over filling the main tank, evap problems/leaks, and occasionally a tranny will fail. The trucks I have seen are abused and beat on so a daily driver/family ride would only have to worry about the fuel pump IMO. They are pretty good vehicles.
