I'm trying to hold off the excitement until the lake stabilizes, but can't resist. Just this last week alone, she's up 7 vertical feet in elevation and 101,000 acre-feet in volume. Lots of things to be optimistic about at Roosevelt. I've got a good feeling I'll be breaking the mold of mediocre-at-best crappie fishing ol' Rosey has been producing the last 7 years. Can't wait, good luck and take some kids fishing when it kicks off if you can. They won't forget it.

There we go. That's a helpful post.

Wow. That's a sad amount of hate for a centerfire rifle cartridge. I'm sure the OP appreciates your stellar feedback as he and many others learn from the posts on this forum.

In addition to the 2 comments above, and after making sure you're not jammed into the lands, consider 2850fps with the 143gr eldx in a 6.5 Creedmor is FAST. . Not to say others don't get great velocities out of their given loads, and I'm only shooting a 20" barrel, but I have worked with a few of the faster powders (RL17,RL19,Superformance, H4350) and I have had trouble getting 2750fps. Even 24" barrels in the load data aren't putting out very many velocities over 2800.

REI-version of that chair runs $55 and is currently an additional 25% off.

Lot of guys still prefer classic, rugged units, but nothing beats a smartphone app for capability if you're a little tech savvy. I use my primary phone and carry a synced backup galaxy exclusively for camera and GPS. Late elk hunts with real weather may require extra precaution.

Tripod for your optics. Camo isn't as necessary as being warm, comfortable and able to cover ground. You'll want to be able to layer to accommodate big swings in temps. I'd research good boots on this forum, buy them new and break them in scouting well before the hunt. There are so many good packs out there, keep an eye on this site's classifieds to save a few bucks. Many have unconditional warranties.

What tag do you have?

Pressure from your ammo, stop and try another before you do anything.

I heard about this on NPR yesterday. They, of course, did not include any of the information on bullet points 2 & 3. The only thing advertised was mandatory background checks. Mandating UNIVERSAL background checks BANNING all private gun sales Creating a federal registry of ALL U.S. Gun Owners

Happy birthday, Adam!

Father of a 5 month-old and thinking ahead, when did your kids get started as passengers and drivers of ATVs, motorcycles and side x sides?

Lots of moisture, just warm on the front end. More, colder moisture to come.

Only thing easier is the lifetime.

I will take it. PM inbound.

+1. Only exception may be while sitting in expansive glassing areas. Leaving a pack or boots behind isn't for me.

Tried to PM you, says you cannot receive messages.

Excellent, excellent reply. You didn't need to share all that but I'm glad you did and it is greatly appreciated.

Can anyone help explain how a 1st choice applicant with the most bonus points for a particular hunt number doesn't draw said tag? I don't see how it is a NR cap when 1 (10% = 1.5) tag is available to non residents and my only other explanations still don't make sense when I look at the next highest point holders. Thanks

Thanks, will pass it forward.

I saw ready to go home date but what is the exact birth date and/or how many weeks old today? Thx.
-
Thank you very much! That is clear as can be. I was unaware that a NR could not draw in the BP Pass. Last question, how would one know the breakdown of R vs NR applicant by hunt number? Specifically, how do you know that one of the 20 BP second choice applicants was a resident that drew 1st choice, and it wasn't just another NR applicant? Thanks.

Another Phenomenal Hunt and Time in Sonora MX.

Wonderful, Ernesto! Congratulations to you and your fellow hunters. -
Could you explain this please? I can't find AZGFD's take on it. Thanks, RR. This is the only explanation that makes sense to me so far, but it still leaves me wondering how coincidental it is that the same issue occurred with the 20BP holders as well.
