Questions about "locked" gate near private land

That's my take on it. Local ranchers are putting up gates to deter people and sort of "take over" the land.

    turd furgeson at work

Ask for timelines and important information to be given to you in email form, and forward those to your home email. If you have documentation and another incident occurs, you have things covered. I like the idea of shopping your skills around your industry. Always remember that the sole purpose for HR is to keep management out of trouble. They may sound like they are helping the average Joe, but they have orders from above.

    Craigslist Scam ?

I was selling a snowmpobile in Michigan, and the scammers said that they were from Nigeria, and had to have my sled. Someone would pick it up, yadda yadda. I responded that they could drive it out of my yard, just head north!

    Bear meat question

Sounds to me like you should be fine with the meat. Like stated, cook well and enjoy.

    atv's

IMO a 500 atv is more than enough power to get you where you want to go. Sure there are more powerfull machines, that drink more gas, get you into bigger trouble faster, and cost that much more to fix. A nice clean used 500cc four wheeler is all that is needed.

    Using a heater in tent...

I have used a Mr. Heater for years in a tent. Tent is vented, heater is on low all night, I am not dead. I do hook to a 20 lb bottle that is left outside the tent. I keep the heater up off the floor of the tent. My only complaint is that the tent get alot of moisture inside when it is cold out.

    Coues or Muley

Pixman, If all those deer had horns, that would be a heavy decision for the whitetail hunter.

Nice rig. I have had similar Sightron scopes, and love them. Good quality optics at reasonable prices.

    Moving company recommendation?

I would highly recommend Skinny Wimp Moving Co. (855) 313-5518. I moved in March and used these guys. They quoted me 2 hours to move what I had left, and they flat out shook their asses to get me done before there were extra charges. Very nice, polite young men who are trying to make a name for themselves in the valley. Again, Highly recommended.

Compact Rifle . . .Which one?

Please give a look at the Remington Model 7. I own that rifle in .243, and I think it is the best handling rifle I have ever owned. It is more expensive than some, but the quality is worth it. Same great quality as the 700 action.

    Hunting near mining claim?

I have been lead to believe that they would consider you trespassing, and they laws are tough on claim trespassers. I was in a "club" for a mine claim with a friend, and you had to be screened and sign some heavy duty lawyered up contracts about what you could and could not do. I would investigate further.

    No Burn Days

Just venting that it seems that even though it is raining, our government sees fit to post a no burn day on Christmas eve, and Christmas day, and New Years eve, and New Years day. Thank you for saving me from myself because I don't want to cause pollution in the rain. Of course no one put out the West Valley compost fire for 3 weeks. The government did not help me with my co-pay as I took my daughter to the doctor for asthma during that fire. And no one puts out the hay fires that seem to plague the west valley. Will enjoy a hot toddy next to the turkey cooker, and thumb my nose at authority!

    Christmas gift

A young person would get two Christmas gifts! A neat gun, and a lesson on how to conduct yourself for the rest of your life. Way to pay if forward Sherman.

ALERT ALERT -HOUSTON WE HAVE A PROBLEM

I also have tinnitus, but maybe not that bad. Hard to hear in crowds. That is scary when you can hear a danger warning.
