Buy it! You can shave your arms.

I haven't reloaded in quite a few years but I'm sure I have powder and primers I could donate if someone wants to work up a load for her. Just a thought.

So, I have a G22 with the 9mm conversion barrel and the 40 barrel. If you want to meet up she can shoot it and see how easy it is to swap between barrels. I'm in the east valley and have ammo.

Interested in trading the Savage for a Weatherby Youth S2 in 243? It has about 150 rounds through it and is about 2 1/2 years old.

I have a benchmade gryptillian folder and it holds a decent edge but I can only get them just so sharp but that is due to my lack of skill.

So how did it go?

Grandpa's Springfield 1917 rifle rebuild, maybe 6.5-06?
PRDATR replied to Zeke-BE's topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
My dad had one he bought back in the 60's and sporterized himself. I shot it once and remember it as being accurate. It looks like an old Weaver Micro-Trac scope on it. There used to be a guy in El Paso who worked on them but that was a long time ago. They are bulletproof and clear but the present day scopes work better in low light conditions especially on overcast days just before sunrise. Really a matter of personal choice to leave it as is or to add a few personal touches. When my dad gave me his old buick station wagon I added a few things of my own. How is the trigger? I'm sure Timney probably makes on for it, is the original a heavy two stage? I don't know what bullet the old ball ammo was but it was probably upwards of 170gr or so and the rifle may not accurately shoot 150's but now that heavier bullets are in fashion again there should be plenty of selections out there. Probably wouldn't hurt to have a gunsmith who is knowledgable on these old actions take a look at it and give it the once over including taking the bolt apart and see if the spring and firing pin are gunked up. Those early military rifles were suprisingly accurate for a reason. Who knows how many rounds it had through it before he aquired it. I think my dad bought his for $35. I don't think he'd mind it getting a little TLC like a nice traditional parkerizing or oil finish on the old stock and maybe a newer recoil pad. -
Awesome, how much does that scale read?

Where to sir? I spent many "eve of the 4th" on Otisco Lake growing up. Long Island. Bayshore, Wantagh and Seaford.

I had an XP-100 that shot 7BR, incredibly accurate round.

I had a Sigma for many many years before I bought a Police Trade-In G22. I never had a single problem with it other than one stove pipe when I fired a round with the magazine out. The two piece plastic recoil rod self destructed while sitting on the kitchen counter but the replaced it.

I wish. I am headed up for a week next month for a wedding in Larkspur.

So where are you going fishing tomorrow?

New 7mm Rem Mag Load Development

I would work up loads with that powder and sight in when it was about 50 degrees. Gives me some wiggle room. -
Cases getting stuck in chamber
PRDATR replied to 257wby's topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
They said any parts would be at dealer cost and there was a base fee of $80 since I'm not the original owner. Last gun I shipped back to a friend UPS made me send it to an FFL Holder and I had to show UPS a copy of their signed FFL. Last I heard handguns were only accepted by FEDX and I have never tried to ship a firearm via USPS. -
I remember when they first started out and shipping was free.

Don't know what that is but I will probably ship it UPS. I don't know if USPS ships shotguns. -
Go on gunbroker and do a search there.

Ever try adding flavored powder to it?
