    WTS / WTT XP-100 7BR Leup Scope

Great firearm and caliber. I had one that would put all the shots into one ragged hole.

    2014 Pig Down

Nice. What unit were you in? I always see a few of them south of Red Rock when I travel to Tucson.

    .454 Casull

Great gun. I had one in 480 that shot like a dream. Great for Prarie Dogs out to about 200 yards. I'm tempted so PM me with what else you have hanging around that goes with it like rings, case, ammo or cases, etc.

    Remington 788 .223

They are out there. The way the sale went down on that one was how shall we say, "interesting".

    That really stinks.

    Remington 788 .243 cal

I have one in 22-250 and for those who are not familiar with these rifles they are very accurate due to them having a heavier receiver than the Model 700. They were commonly referred to as Remington's "Budget Tack Driver". They have a detachable magazine which holds three rounds and a 60* Bolt Lift with 9 lugs and the fastest lock time of any production bolt action ever made.

    new 15 x 56 slc HD

I was in Bass Pro over the weekend and they said they have been told sometime in March for them although they may be available from other places. I'd email Doug or call Neil at Cameraland.

None that I know of. In the past I've used http://www.optics4rent.com/.

    Backpacking hunt

I look at little things like that as just making sure you keep you stuff in good shape. I tend to just replace things like that when they look like they are getting worn out. It's not so much the weight laces take up but the space in your pack and that "may" be better served by something like para cord. Sure you can carry plenty of stuff but on a backpack trip I'd rather suffer a hardship or two then plan for every circumstance especially on a short trip like four days. I'd rather pack light and do without with the prospect (animal down) of packing out more than I brought in. The weather will have an influence on what you bring so watch it closely and then adjust on the day of your departure.

    Backpacking hunt

As long as you are not sweating very much you should be able to get by on 1/2 gallon per day. You can get by with MRE's, Mountain Home meals, nuts, Power Bars and some bananas.

    Need help with scope

Get something with the most eye relief so she doesn't creep up on the stock and get dinged by the scope.

    needing new boots

Boots that have hooks tend to wear out the laces over time.

    reloading powder

Powder does not go bad just keep it stored indoors. I can remember buying H322 for $6 a pound and about double that for IMR 20 years ago. Everything goes up eventually.

    Another dry winter

The USA from the Midwest to Cali has been in drought conditions for a few years with no relief in sight. As far as AZ goes this is the website to monitor. http://www.azwater.gov/AzDWR/StatewidePlanning/drought/DroughtStatus2.htm

    Sold

Pretty much the very last thing I want to see when I'm out looking for Coues. When you posted Locater Tool I expected to see the names of a few of our more notorious posters.
  22. I bought my son a turbo dog and while it is fine for some terrain it is not loud enough for windy days and I can reach out much further with my mouth calls.
  23. Those 7 'sets' could have been over a week, a month, heck even a years time... They're selling a product, remember that. Get the Foxpro Scorpion. Used for $250 shouldn't be hard to do, I've killed a lot of critters with mine. It was one day.

    Coyote vs. Sprawl

"Howling has increased at night, Stratton said, a sign that breeding season is coming. The neighbors hope their trapper is successful before the coyotes begin to multiply." Maybe he can only trap the females. Yeah, that's the ticket.
