Mesquite is BRUTAL on smaller stump grinders. If you do go that route, get a big powerful one. Like others have said, best to kill it or burn it. If you have time, kill it with that tree killer stuff the PRDATR recommended then let it sit for awhile and it will rot itself out. Much easier to yank out then.

It's all the locked gates that really ruined it. I mean, I get why they did it...5000 side by sides on every trail every weekend runing their own baja 1000 ruining the wilderness. If you dont have a full posse of guides locking down an area for you there's little to no chance of a successful hunt here.

what bow should I get? Any tips on where to start looking for bulls?

im thinking if i can hunt right on the border of 4b and 23a I should be able to pull in a couple big power line bulls. i probably shouldn't be giving away all my plans online though.....

Healy and EVT. I have several and like Houston said, it is almost too easy now. They set you up on the computer and file everything electronically. My last few were form EVT. I went in without a pre-determined can in mind and they walked me through the pros and cons of the different models that would fit my purpose. They are not fan boys of any make or model and will really help you find what is best for your needs. They are all shooters, not salesmen. I have never had a bad experience with them.
