So what if an animal was shot and the person had no idea there was a cam nearby? I know I have walked up on a few without knowing. Seems easier to just ban them from an area or for a specific time.

I am like a few others on here, I am not a fan of them for hunting. We have several that we have up on our own property, but we don't hunt that property. The kids like to see the animals I don't harbor any ill feeling towards those that DO use them for hunting, it's just not my thing. I do think they have caused a lot of issues though(which obviously why this is being discussed).

So if 4a/b is for the newbs what units do I need to put in for to be in the major leagues, to hang out with the cool kids? I am pretty sure all the cool guys apply for 9, 10, 23 or 1. But I know some pretty cool people who hunt in 4B, so . . . But I think what Chris s was saying was that in 4a/b you used to could draw a tag much more often than in other more popular units which provided more opportunity to call elk and develop ones skills. It's harder to draw now but not near as bad as some of those other units. You forgot 3a/3c. THAT is where all the REALLY cool kids hang out....

Have lost 2 hand guns over the years. Never got them back. Nothing of value but I HATE theifs. Good to hear you got it back.

Gunnels did the leveling on my f150 as well. Simple and practical. Good friends that do honest work.

I have it on good authority that they sit back laughing while reading all the online threads about us squirming in pain waiting to be disappointed for another year.

We do a big family camp for deer, but not elk. For elk we all put in on separate apps to increase our odds of hunting that year. Has worked out pretty good so far. I get to hunt almost every year. We still have a pretty big camp usually, but few tags. We just like to be out there together hunting. Our last coues camp we had 11 tags in camp....

The quick and the dead has been on TV a lot lately. It's not bad. Filmed up around flagstaff. Looks very elky throughout the movie. Lol.
